Opportunities at KS3:  Represent the district or county in a wide range of sports. For example, 3 boys have got into the district football team this year.  Pupils have the opportunity to represent the school at district level competition.  Pupils are able to start taking up leadership roles inside and outside school  Pupils have the opportunity to complete external courses with school assistance. For example, complete various refereeing course and completing the hours required by refereeing school matches.  G&T enrichment to stretch and challenge where pupils are able to practice and perform with others of a similar ability.  The department has multiple club links, which are listed in the department  Pupils can volunteer to assist in the running of clubs and activities

Opportunities for KS4:  Represent the district or county in a wide range of sports.  Pupils are able to start taking up leadership roles inside and outside school  Pupils have the opportunity to complete external courses with school assistance. For example, complete various refereeing course and completing the hours required by refereeing school matches Have a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, with some specifically for KS4 pupils  The department has multiple club links, which are listed in the department  Pupils can become a sports prefect (End of KS4 beginning of KS5)

Pupils that want to expand their KS3 knowledge should take PE GCSE or PE BTEC at KS4. This include furthering their knowledge on the body and how it reacts to exercise, how to analyses a performer and understand sports psychology.
