Hyrule Warriors Legends Play Journal Entries Stagger Lanayru79 10/31/2016 10:24 AM 8-bit Ravio! 8-bit Dark World theme! Two world Lorule Map! Despite how bored as I am w/ HW at this point and how happy it makes me that this is finally the end of it, I'm still pretty excited for this dlc. I'll get started this afternoon, and grouchily log my progress in the comments. WARNING: Unmarked spoilers will appear in this post. E Yeah! e24 r 100 D Advertisement Share this Post 1 Tweet 2 Share Embed Comment Elzonire 10/31/2016 12:25 PM Ooh, Dark World theme? Favorite Zelda music, right there! E Yeah! e2 Brandon 10/31/2016 12:58 PM Notify me! Obligatory "I bought all the DLC and have barely played any of it" confession. E Yeah! e2 D JP10 10/31/2016 2:42 PM Ah the 8-bit rendition of the Dark World theme from A Link Between Worlds! How nice! E Yeah! e2 D Benjamin 10/31/2016 2:48 PM Ah it's here! I can't wait to check it out! E Yeah! e2 D Nintendoer 10/31/2016 4:02 PM I've got you beat there, Brandon; I've experienced precisely none of the DLC so far. I'm even waiting to try out the new characters until I start the appropriate adventure map, which means I haven't even touched Medli yet. =P E Yeah! e3 D Stagger 10/31/2016 4:03 PM @JP: They based it off the LBW version rather than the LttP version. It sounds sweet! All I did this afternoon was create badges and check out the two new characters on WiiU. I'll be starting in earnest after dinner. I've just played the first two squares, and they've put some effort into the two altered mission types I've encountered. Also getting a sense that at last my level 87 crew might low! E Yeah! e1 D Nintendoer 10/31/2016 4:04 PM Yep, HW is finally concluded...until Hyrule Warriors Wilds for the Switch is unvieled during the next Direct, featuring your favorite characters from BoTW, all of the content of HWL, a new adventure map with the promise of four more as DLC, and all at the low price of $29.99! E Yeah♥ e4 D Stagger 10/31/2016 4:06 PM Captains seem vaguely sturdier than they usually are on the introductory squares. I dunno, it could be wishful thinking on my part ... I'll wait to render judgement on that and the characters themselves, but I'll say I like Ravio's dialogue during battle more than the rest of the dlc characters so far. @'doer: Any spoiler concern? I can mark if you like. E Yeah! e2 D Nintendoer 10/31/2016 4:10 PM Nah, I'll likely forget most of the specifics by the time I finally get around to this map, and I've already taken a look around the DLC maps enough to know that there are level 4 (and 4+) weapons to unlock. The only things I might not want spoiled are the costumes, but even then it's a very minor issue if I do see them. I'm eager to see what you think! The map already looks interesting. E Yeah! e2 D Jayse 10/31/2016 4:10 PM I also bought all of the DLC and haven't played any of it. Unless you count creating the badges for the characters on the Wii U version but never playing those characters. Because I've done that. E Yeah! e4 D Stagger 10/31/2016 4:39 PM Ah, so you're aware of the nature of the 4+ weapons? I haven't touched the My Fairy screen since before the first dlc, but I had already levelled up Bombos to the point where it still breaks the game. Those weapons are so gratuitous. Anyway, off I go! Love the look of this item card ... the others sound like proper utilities, although I can't condone these bonus elemental effects. The Ravio mask E Yeah! e1 D Stagger 10/31/2016 4:43 PM display is pretty charming, but more unnecessary help to rip all challenge out of the experience is unwelcome for this cranky warrior. I'm going to predict that all of Yuga's items will be on that Lorule side of things. I should soon see, as the first Fissure appeared on the third square. E Yeah! e1 D Stagger 10/31/2016 4:59 PM Yuga's face seems a little off, but whatever. What bothers me more is that in his Strength V move on 3ds, the trident doesn't look very clear like it does on WiiU. The game is too easy for me to care about movesets from a utilitarian perspective. The series references are all that matter to me at this point. Ravio nedded a big bag of rupees. Is his Strength II move is meant to involve his bird? E Yeah! e2 D Stagger 10/31/2016 5:12 PM I thought a feather appeared during it when I checked Ravio out on the WiiU. Probably wrong, not so here ... For a moment, I thought I'd need another card to go back through a Fissure. It's not that complicated unfortunately, just a dividing line, but juggling items across the divide and likely cornered areas are promising. E Yeah! e1 D JP10 10/31/2016 5:14 PM Take a look at Ravio's running animation! Really something to smile about isn't it? E Yeah! e3 D Stagger 10/31/2016 5:20 PM It is humorous JP. I'm probably misremembering about Yuga's animation detail, as the Trident is pretty clear in his special. I didn't look very far ahead on the map, heh, as his first heart container was a square away in Lorule. One prediction fail! :p I will start paying attention now, to avoid repeating myself for item cards and plan a route. E Yeah! e1 D Stagger 10/31/2016 5:36 PM Attaboy Ravio. E Yeah! e1 D Stagger 10/31/2016 6:06 PM Interesting. I think this will be the most fun I've had from a map navigation standpoint since the MM dlc on the original. They've designed Hyrule so you can't advance all that far w/out heading to Lorule. Not according to game script, but cool nonetheless. I'm pursuing Yuga's level 2 weapon, so I'll mark it in spoilers 'doer. E Yeah! e1 D Stagger 10/31/2016 6:18 PM I'll jabber about the first costume and My Fairy accessory gets in that comment too. Almost done - I found this curious though. It's Ravio that eventually joined my forces. Was this a mistake, or an intentional error to call him Link? E Yeah! e2 D Stagger 10/31/2016 6:27 PM ·Spoilers That's solid! Of course I immedialy wonder what's in store for the appearance and title of the third one. This came up before my second piece of My Fairy clothing, but the firstbwas a sweet Ravio robe. The costumebwas earned by Ravio too. It was for Tingle, a deep shade of purple and obviously inspired by a shared love of rupees between the two characters. E Yeah! e1 D Stagger 10/31/2016 6:47 PM Thus begins the final Illustration. In all of them I've completed in HWL, I needed exactly one second effort for a Skulltula on the Termina Map. I miss how difficult they were in HW. *sigh* Odds and ends ... I finally remembered to check a material drop. Yuga drops Ganondorf stuff. I'll check Ravio next time I see the punk on the opposition. :p Also, Swamp Palace first eh? No way around it. E Yeah! e2 D Stagger 10/31/2016 6:52 PM ·Spoilers Now that is a wonderful color swap! Ruto gets a lot of good ones. The Lulu and Rutella tributes are both terrific, and this Oren homage joins them. I'm wondering if Darunia will get a Rosso costume. E Yeah! e2 D Stagger 10/31/2016 7:01 PM D'aw ... I'm repeating myself again, but the 8-bit animations of new item card uses are one of my favorite things about these dlc packs. The cornering aspect of Lorule looks to be handled in exactly the fashion I'd hoped for. I'll clear out this confined space before marching on in Hyrule. On a side note, Yuga joins Volga as the only villains that aren't Dark element based. Well, the Trident ... E Yeah! e3 D Nintendoer 10/31/2016 7:05 PM I dunno, Tingle is pretty villainous; gouging prices in Wind Waker, stealing Force Gems in Four Swords Adventures, etc. E Yeah♥ e3 D Stagger 10/31/2016 7:54 PM You should join Ed's previous post comparing Tingle and Rikki. I reversed course and returned to Hyrule when I realized the rest of that Lorule section was Misery Mire, and left Ravio's House alone as well, since I only had one Hammer card and wanted it here. Rav's level 2 weapon is earned at the Blacksmith's. E Yeah! e2 D Stagger 10/31/2016 8:17 PM ·Spoilers Alright then. It looks cool. It would be a stretch to see a Spirit Tracks reference in it.
