Archer-Class Scout Submitted by Alex Rosenzweig

First introduced in the novel series, “Star Trek: Vanguard,” the Archer- class is a small, compact scout vessel introduced in the mid-23rd Century, not long after the Constitution-class was first commissioned.

She’s established to have a pair of phaser emplacements.

Not much else is yet known about the Archer-class, but designer Masao Okazaki shared the following:

“The layout pretty much follows the description in the first Vanguard book when Lt. Xiong (I think that's what his name was) leaves Sagittarius. He exits his room, equipped with bunks, and goes aft. He passes some lockers, then meets the engineer outside the mess hall. He climbs a ladder to a small transporter alcove above. There are stairs a half deck up to the engineering deck, which is similar to that on a Connie with an “open” plan and catwalks along the sides. Engineering becomes a single deck in the tail, where a matter/antimatter reactor can be found. The bridge is at the very front The ship’s physical dimensions are as follows: of the saucer, with 2 x 2 seating like a runabout. There's a viewscreen but no window.
