Director's Message

It is my great privilege to welcome you to Institute of Engineering & Technology(GBPIET), Pauri and invite you to explore the multidimensional facets of this Engineering Institute using the official website. The Institute has already marked its presence as a leading research and teaching Institute in the country. Its strengths and standing are best evidenced by the high quality of the students admitted in various programs and well qualified faculty. GBPIET is one of the few premier institute imparting technical education in the state of Uttarakhand. The institute is situated in Pauri-Garhwal (Divisional headquarters of Garhwal) at a height of 1700m amidst the Garhwal Himalayas. The location of the institute in this region was chosen for its possibility of bringing about a sea change in this primarily undeveloped rural hilly area. The strategic location of the campus amidst the salubrious environment and the symbiotic connections with the nature together make it an ideal place for seriously inclined learner. The mission of GBPIET to become a premier Engineering institute producing global quality engineering professionals in the service of the nation and to excel in every activity of technical education- undergraduate, postgraduate level teaching, doctoral research in thrust areas, development & consultancy involving small and large industries in the surrounding areas. With the support of highly qualified faculty members and excellent infrastructure I hope we shall be able to continue to add to the intellectual and professional development of the country. The key to our success depends on the dedication of each individual. We need to work hard to maintain excellence in teaching and research in order to compete with other Engineering Institutes of the country. The Institute is committed to equity and promoting talent without any prejudice. I strongly believe, like me you would also love to enjoy the proud privilege of becoming a part of this Institute which has witnessed 24 glorious years of its existence.

I wish you very pleasant & fruitful stay for the years to come
