In note form, explain why you think this is so, and describe three or four of the financial institutions that contribute to its importance. 3. In note form, explain how the City Corporation, as a Local Authority, differs from other British Local Authorities. SECTION B 1. You have been asked to take a group on a short walk illustrating examples of twenty-first-century architecture in the City. Write brief notes on four buildings you might consider choosing. (You are not required to plan a detailed route.) 2. You have been commissioned to take a group on a short walk focusing on pre-twenty-first century iconic buildings in the City, covering a wide range of its institutions and activities. Write brief notes on four buildings you might want to introduce the group to. (You are not required to plan a detailed route.) 3. You have volunteered to lead a walking tour of City churches, including three internal visits. Write brief notes on the three churches you would choose for these, identifying the features to which you would draw the group’s attention. At least one of your choices should be a non-Wren church.
