    TAMIL CINEMA Tamil cinema (also known as Cinema of Tamil Nadu, the Tamil film industry or the Chennai film industry) is the film industry based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, dedicated to the production of films in the Tamil language. It is based in Chennai's Kodambakkam district, where several South Indian film production companies are headquartered. Tamil cinema is known for being India's second largest film industry in terms of films produced, revenue and worldwide distribution,[1] with audiences mainly including people from the four southern Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andra Pradesh, and Karnataka. Silent films were produced in Chennai since 1917 and the era of talkies dawned in 1931 with the film Kalidas.[2] By the end of the 1930s, the legislature of the State of Madras passed the Entertainment Tax Act of 1939.[3] Tamil cinema later had a profound effect on other filmmaking industries of India, establishing Chennai as a secondary hub for Telugu cinema, Malayalam cinema, Kannada cinema, and Hindi cinema. The industry also inspired filmmaking in Tamil diaspora populations in other countries, such as Sri Lankan Tamil cinema and Canadian Tamil cinema.[6] Film studios in Chennai are bound by legislation, such as the Cinematography Film Rules of 1948,[7] the Cinematography Act of 1952,[8] and the Copyright Act of 1957.[9] Influences Tamil cinema has been impacted by many factors, due to which it has become the second largest film industry of India. The main impacts of the early cinema were the cultural influences of the country. The Tamil language, ancient than the Sanskrit, was the medium in which many plays and stories were written since the ages as early as the Cholas.

The Sansthan under its various schemes also intends to collect the Bio-data of Sanskrit Scholars and to make them available on its website. The preparation of the Software for this purpose is in its final stage. The website will give an access to know the Sanskrit scholars of the entire world and the works done by them. The present Inventory includes the details of about 5000 Sanskrit scholars. Initially, the preparation of Inventory was taken up at the Bhopal Campus of the Sansthan. Since 2009 the Bhopal Campus has been doing this work in collaboration with its Main Campus, The Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi. This Inventory on the basis of details made available by scholars in response to the Sansthan’s format presents briefly the data as under - the name of scholars, qualification, date of birth, place of birth, positions, teachers and disciples (Guru- Shishya-Parampara), numbers and titles of published books and research papers, addresses, awards and honors, foreign visits etc.

    F.No. 04/03/2019 – IEPFA Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority Ministry of Corporate Affairs Government of India PUBLIC NOTICE Notice under Rule 7(3) of Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Rules 2016 Whereas, as per proviso of Rule 7(3) of Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Rules, 2016 “Provided that in case of non-receipt of the documents by the Authority after expiry of 90 days from the date of filing Form IEPF-5, the Authority may reject the Form IEPF-5, after giving an opportunity to the claimants to furnish response within a period of thirty days”. Accordingly, notice is hereby given to all the Claimants who have filed claims with IEPF Authority on or before 31.07.2019 for claiming amount/shares transferred by concerned companies to IEPF and where documents/Verification report required for processing the claim have not been received by the Authority for more than 90 days of filing of such claims; It is further informed that the Company wise list of claims where documents/Verification reports are pending for more than 90 days is displayed on the website of the Authority https://www.iepf.gov.in. All such Claimants and Companies are requested to submit the required documents/reports to the Authority within 30 days of this notice, failing which all such claims may be rejected by the Authority without any further notice. Please Note: Individual notices have already been issued to Claimants and Companies by emails. Those claimants and Companies which have already replied to the above Notices may kindly ignore this Public Notice.
