Instant Gift Redemption at MYDIN Campaign Terms and Conditions Campaign Period AmBank Debit MasterCard and TRUE by AmBank Debit MasterCard – Instant Gift Redemption at MYDIN Campaign Terms and Conditions Campaign Period AmBank (M) Berhad (Company No. 8515-D) (“Bank”) will run “AmBank Debit MasterCard and TRUE by AmBank Debit MasterCard – Instant Gift Redemption at MYDIN Campaign” (“Campaign”) from 8 May 2017 to 7 August 2017 (both dates inclusive) or such other period(s) as may be determined at the sole and absolute discretion of the Bank (“Campaign Period”). Campaign Eligibility 1. This Campaign is open to all new and existing AmBank Debit MasterCard and TRUE by AmBank Debit MasterCard cardholders (“Cardholders”). 2. The following persons shall not be eligible to participate in this Campaign: a) Existing Cardholders whose accounts are terminated, suspended or cancelled within the Campaign Period; b) Any accounts held with the Bank which are delinquent or unsatisfactorily conducted as determined by the Bank at its sole and absolute discretion; or c) Persons who are or have become insane, deceased, adjudicated bankrupt or have legal proceedings of any nature instituted against them. Campaign Mechanicsm 3. In order to participate in this Campaign, the Cardholders are required to perform retail transactions using their AmBank Debit MasterCard or TRUE by AmBank Debit MasterCard for any amount at any participating MYDIN stores during the Campaign Period (“Eligible Retail Transaction”). 4. The participating MYDIN stores are listed below. The full list of participating stores are set out in Appendix 1 herein. No MYDIN Stores 1 MYDIN Hypermarkets 2 MYDIN Emporium 3 MYDIN Bazaar 5. Upon performing the Eligible Retail Transaction, the Cardholders will be eligible to redeem gifts from the participating MYDIN stores where the Eligible Retail Transaction was performed. In order to redeem the gifts, the Cardholders are required to present the original transaction slip (“Valid Transaction Slip”) and their AmBank Debit MasterCard or TRUE by AmBank Debit MasterCard at any MYDIN redemption counters. 6. For the purpose of this Campaign, a Valid Transaction Slip means a transaction slip with number “8” in the six (6) digit approval code as printed on the transaction slip, which is derived from the payment made with AmBank Debit MasterCard or TRUE by AmBank Debit MasterCard at the participating MYDIN stores during the Campaign Period. 7. A maximum of three thousand (3,000) gifts will be given away each month throughout the Campaign Period. Redemption is limited to one (1) gift per Valid Transaction slip on a first-come, first-served basis. Page 1 of 7 ENG 2 May 2017 8. Redemption must only be made at the participating MYDIN stores where the Eligible Retail Transaction was made, at any time during the Campaign Period. 9. The gifts are not exchangeable for cash, credit or any other products and not transferable to any third party, whether in part or in full. 10. The Bank reserves the right to change, vary or substitute the gifts to any other gifts of similar retail value with at least twenty-one (21) calendar days’ notice to cardholders before the new terms and conditions take effect. General Terms and Conditions 11. By participating in this Campaign, the Cardholders agree to be bound by these terms and conditions including any amendment and/or variation to it, the terms and conditions of AmBank Debit MasterCard Terms and Conditions, the specific terms and conditions for TRUE Transact, TRUE Savers Accounts and TRUE by AmBank Debit MasterCard. 12. The Bank shall not be responsible or liable for any failure by any Cardholder to participate in this Campaign at any time due to any network, communication or system error, interruption and/or failure. 13. All records of transactions maintained by the Bank are final and conclusive. The Bank’s decision on all matters relating to this Campaign shall be final, conclusive and binding on the Cardholders. No correspondence and/or appeal by the Cardholders and/or any third party shall be entertained. 14. The Bank shall have the right to use, publish or display the Cardholders’ details and/or information, including but not limited to their names and photographs without compensation, for advertising and publicity purposes in any manner that the Bank deems appropriate at its sole and absolute discretion. By participating in this Campaign, the Cardholders hereby consent to and agree for the Bank to exercise the aforesaid rights. 15. The Bank reserves the right to forfeit the gifts in the event any of the terms and conditions herein is not adhered to. The Eligible Cardholders will indemnify the Bank for any loss, damage, costs, expenses, fees and/or charges which the Bank may incur due to breach by the Cardholders of these terms and conditions including the enforcement of the terms and conditions against the Cardholders. 16. The Bank will not be held liable directly or indirectly for any loss, claim, damage including without limitation to loss of income, profits, goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties, howsoever arising whether in contract, tort or otherwise to any property, injury to any person or persons, expenses or cost in connection with his or her participation in this Campaign, or as a result of the usage of the gifts, or the Bank having exercised its rights under these terms and conditions. 17. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Campaign, these terms and conditions shall prevail. 18. The Bank shall have the right and absolute discretion to vary, amend, delete and/or add to any of the terms and conditions herein, wholly or in part from time to time with at least twenty-one (21) calendar days’ notice to cardholders before the new terms and conditions take effect on the Bank’s official website at www.ambank.com.my, displaying a notice at any of the Bank’s branches, a Page 2 of 7 ENG 2 May 2017 statement insert in the Statement of Account or any other manner which the Bank may deem fit at its absolute discretion. 19. The Bank reserves the right to cancel, withdraw, extend, terminate and/or suspend this Campaign at any time without assigning any reason with at least twenty-one (21) calendar days’ notice to Cardholders before the new terms and conditions take effect. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, withdrawal, extension, termination and/or suspension of this Campaign shall not entitle the Cardholders to any claim and/or compensation against the Bank for any and/or all losses and/or damages suffered or incurred by the Cardholders whether as a direct and/or indirect result of such cancellation, withdrawal, extension, termination and/or suspension. 20. The terms and conditions stipulated herein shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and the Cardholders agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. 21. In this paper we tried to understand consumer decision during shopping food and grocery either hypermarket is a main location or not. An empirical study, which was carried out in Shah Alam with 400 grocery shopper as respondent showed no significant relationship between shopping decisions and demographic characteristic except marital status. On the other hand, only two out of five trips characteristic showed significant relationship namely trip frequency and companion during shopping in hypermarket.     PRESS STATEMENT S.A. 2019/09/59 (HQ) MYDIN HOLDINGS THE FIRST CHAIN RETAILER TO INSTALL SOLAR Potential RM 3.24 million electricity bill savings for Mydin Mall Manjoi through collaboration with TNB Interest in installing solar PV at another 7 Mydin hypermarkets Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) through GSPARX Sdn Bhd sealed a Supply Agreement for Renewable Energy (SARE) with Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad (Mydin) last week, to install solar PV on the rooftop of Mydin Mall Manjoi, Ipoh, Perak. The 324 kilowatt-peak (kWp) solar rooftop photovoltaic (PV) is expected to generate up to RM 3.24 million in electricity bill savings within the project’s 25-year duration. Mydin Holdings hopes the agreement could spark similar venture between both parties, going forward. “This is a small step that may pave the way towards similar collaboration in seven of our hypermarkets,” said Managing Director of Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad, Datuk Wira Dr Ameer Ali Mydin. He added that Mydin’s focus is not solely on generating profit, as it also places importance on humanity and environment, as outlined by the concept of triple bottom line (people, planet, and profit). “The Mydin-TNB collaboration is a contribution to energy sustainability for the good of the organisation, community, and country. This is our commitment for the future generation,” he said at the signing ceremony that took place at Mydin Holdings, Subang Jaya.
