A typescript of the Dutch Reformed 19 Sept 1813; of Fall River, Mass., ae. 34, m. Framingham 14 Dec. Church records, wrongly interpreting the handwriting of 1848 Samuel S. Mor.field of Fall River, widower ae. 38, son of Rev. Bruin Romkes Comingo, states that "Johann Lewis and Mary Morfield; Leonard Arnold, b. 21July1817. Salzmann" died on that date. When I examined the Polly Arnold, b. 22 July 1789, d. Framingham 16 Jan. 1809. original registers in May 1995, it became clear that the Relief Arnold, b. 3 Oct 1791, d. Framingham 17 Sept 1864; decedent of 21 Dec. 1802 was actually Johanna I had m. there 24 Jan. 1815 Herny Richardson of Dorchester, Mass., b. 25 further stated that Johanna seems to have stood as god July 1791 (rec. Framingham),d.Framingham4Aug.1870ae?9:4 parent for one of her Kedy grandchildren; that sponsor (ro ?U'· in Ml$. VRs, Deaths, 1870, 230:139). Children, b. Framingham instead was Catherine Eliz.abeth (Schlear) Hoffman, whom (VRs, pp. 173, 462): Henry Francis Augustus Richardson, b. 4 Johanna's widower, Casper Friedrich Salzmann, had June 1815, m. by ca. 1847 Esther G. -; Mary Prentice married at Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg, 2May1809. Richardson, b. 25 June 1817; Raham William Richardson, b. Catherine Schlear was presumably the daughter of 21July1819, d. Framingham 12 Oct 1847 ae. 28 of fever; James German Loyalists who settled at Lunenburg in 1784; Prentice Richardson, b. 20 Aug. 1821; Benjamin Franklin the surname Schlear does not appear among the Foreign Richardson, b. 6 Feb. 1823; Samuel Wadsworth Richardson, b. Protestants of 1753. 30 Nov. 1824; Relief Catharine Richardson, b. 27 Nov. 1826 (or The origins of Johanna Deladeray's parents, Jean-Louis 28 Nov. 1827); and Elizabeth Ann Richardson, b. 14 Dec. 1828, Deladeray and Susannah R.Osti./Rusty, have also been d. Framingham 31 Jan. 1850. further clarified. It is unlikely that Deladeray is derived from the name Deladoey. Swiss genealogist John Hiippi has 7. Thomas Arnold, bp. Stoneham 1April1744, d. rec. suggested. that Deladeray may be of Alsatian or Mont not found; m. Westborough, Mass. 24 Nov. 1768 (VRs, p. beliarclian derivation. The origin of the Rosti family is 117) Margery Pratt, b. there 8 Dec. 1743 (VRs, p. 85), dau. more certain. Emil and Oothilde Meier, eds., IJas Familien of Hezekiah and Rachel (Knowlton) Pratt. Rev. Ebenezer namenbuch der Schweiz, 3 vols., (1989 ed.}, states that the Parkman of Westborough noted in his diary, 3 March 1773: name R6sti is found in the Canton Bern communities of ''Mr. ThomasAmold and his family move from this town to Adelboden, Frutigen and Kandersteg, located in a go to Hadley" (MASSOG 16 [1992): 42), where Thomas was Y-shaped valley south of the Thuner See (Lake Thun). In "perh[aps] a trader during the Rev[olution]" (Sylvester 1989 Hans Bircher of Adelboden, Switzerland, published Judd, History of Hadley [1905 ed., repr. as L.M. Boltwood, a Rosti genealogy, Stammbaum des Geschlechtes Roesti, Genealogies of Hadley Families (1979)], p. 7). Children: Adelboden, Familienregister. His research indicates that Mary Arnold, b. Westborough 14 Nov. 1769; Hepsebel Susannah's father, Gilgian ROsti (whose forename appears Arnold, b. Westborough 17May1771; John Arnold, b. West in Nova Scotia in its variant form Killian, corrupted into borough 5 Jan. 1773; Rachel Arnold, bp. Hadley 15 Jan. 1775; Guilliaum/William}, had emigrated from Adelboden and Thomas Arnold [Jr.], bp. Hadley 22 Dec. 1776; and Betsey was in hollandischer Dienst (in the Dutch service). Research Arnold, bp. Hadley-Oct. 1778. by another Swiss genealogist, Gertrud Zurbriigg, suggests 8. John /1 Amal," bp. Sutton, Mass. 23 Aug. 1747 (VRs, that Gilgian R0sti, his wife Elizabeth Steiner, and their p. 11 }, killed ''by the fall of a tree at Hencher'' [Henniker?] children, originated in Adelboden also. before 7May1773, when Rev.
