Online entry will be accepted with Electronic Funds transfer- [email protected] bank details will be on the entry form please leave your name on the bank payment No entries will be accepted without entry fees Juniors-16 years and under are eligible for Best Bird of Show. Juniors are judged in the open section Individual Birds from breed pairs are not eligible for major awards Geese may be housed in sheep pens in the pavilion. Trailers and boxes are able to be locked up under cover on Friday after penning. We will also be able to keep birds overnight on Saturday to accomodate for any distance travellers to stay an extra night. Please advise us if you would like to take advantage of this offer. Auction A silent Auction will be conducted during the show and concluded after judging . Notice will be given 30 minutes before the closing of bids. An additional pen fee of $7 will be applicable to all birds wishing to be auctioned. Sale birds must be entered in the show. Birds can not be withdrawn from the auction once judging/auction has commenced. Pen fees must accompany entries. A reserve price is to be nominated on the entry form and can not be changed . Payment at the conclusion of the auction is to be made directly to the owner/seller. All exhibitors may offer their birds for sale through the club sale only. Photo Competetion Open Class and Junior Class Photos will be judged by the exhibitors as a ballot system. The photos may be of any waterfowl. Photos must be printed and brought in on the day of the show/penning. The champion will receive $10 a ribbon and will get to become the cover photo of the Facebook page Reserve Champion will receive a ribbon and $10 first second, and third will receive a place card.     Museum of English Rural Life David Scrivener Collection D DS David Scrivener (1952 – 2015) was a committed and enthusiastic poultry- keeper. He earned a National Diploma in Poultry from Harper Adams Agricultural College in Shropshire. He utilised his expertise as a judge at various shows for the Poultry Club of Great Britain. David had a passion for rare breeds, particularly the Spanish, which he kept, and fulfilled various roles for the Rare Poultry Society, variously acting as Chairman, Honorary Historian and Patron. He was the author of several books on the subject including Starting with Bantams (2002), Exhibition Poultry Keeping (2005), Rare Poultry Breeds (2006) and Popular Poultry Breeds (2009). The Collection covers the year’s 1893 to 2007; undated. The physical extent of the collection is 17 boxes, 13 oversize items. D DS 1 Slides c. 1980 to 2015 Contains slides of various poultry species arranged by species and breed. Much of the information used here was obtained from Scrivener’s own annotations for each slide. Many of these photographs are studio portraits, used to illustrate Scrivener’s publications. A large proportion of the photographs were taken by John Tarren.
