16 COVER ARTIST

The 2016 cover is generously contributed by Old Orchard's own Rick Payette. He is the operator of two very unique local restaurants in Old Orchard Beach, The Landmark and Jumpin Jakes with co-owner Bryan Gale. His creative eye is expressed in his artwork, restaurant décor and delicious entrees. His paintings (done mostly in acrylic), range from local seascapes (as pictured on the front of this magazine), to a series of black and white, jazz-related themes, to portraits of female fashion models. Rick's restaurants are as eclectic and varied as his art. The Landmark is a restored Victorian house with a menu that ranges from fresh seafood to tender, oven-roasted duck. Jumpin Jakes specializes mostly in seafood and steaks with a full bar, as well as a fresh fish market and lobster pound. Rick's art is on display and for sale at both locations. For more information call 207-934-0156. Rick Payette
