This document provides guidance of health care and related facilities plumbing plan review and where and when the provisions of SPS 382.50 apply to non-health care facilities constructed or added to health care facilities as defined in SPS 381.01(116). GOALS OF The goal of this policy is to aid in the creation of plumbing systems that protects patients or RULES residents of health care facilities from illnesses associated with plumbing systems within such facilities. APPLICABLE Wis. Adm. Code: s. SPS 382.50, 381.01(116); Wis. Stat. §§ 50.01(6), 50.04(2d), and RULES 50.035(2d). APPLICABILITY • A hospital, nursing home, community−based residential facility, county home, infirmary, inpatient mental health center, inpatient hospice, ambulatory surgery center, adult daycare center, end stage renal facility, facility for the developmentally disabled, institute for mental disease, urgent care center, clinic or medical office, residential care center for children and youth or school of medicine, surgery or dentistry, as defined as a health care and related facility in SPS 381.01(116), shall conform to the provisions of SPS 382.50(1) and (2).
