DVSS Special Release Republic of the Philippines Philippine Statistics Authority Province of Rizal SPECIAL RELEASE DVSS JUNE 2018 (VITAL STATISTICS RIZAL INDICATORS) Date of Release: _________ Reference No.: __________ This report summarizes the data gathered from June 2018 documents submitted from the local civil registry offices of the thirteen municipalities and a city in the province of Rizal. The number of vital events in Rizal for reached a total of 6,268 registered documents. This represents 13.81% decrease from the 7,272 registered vital events from the previous month. The province generated the following statistics: 4,469 for birth, 871 for marriage and 928 for death. Table A. BIRTH STATISTICS Timely Live Births by Municipality and By Sex Province of Rizal recorded a total of 2,434 timely registered births for the month of June 2018. City of Municipality Male Female Total Antipolo has the highest contribution of live births with 745, ANGONO 65 50 115 followed by Taytay with 358 and ANTIPOLO 361 384 745 Montalban with 299. Municipality of BARAS 4 7 11 Baras and Jalajala have the least contribution, both with 11 live births BINANGONAN 89 85 174 (see Table B). While Baras have 4 recorded births that were attended by physician, 19.10% of the total births in the province were attended by midwives. More than forty percent (974 or 40.02%) of babies born in Rizal were legitimates. Municipality of Cardona posted the highest legitimacy percentage with 32 or 76.19 percent of the total legitimate children in the city/municipality level. (see Figure II). Figure II. Modal age group for mothers was at 25 to 29 with 696 occurrences (28.59%). Teenage mothers (19 and below) listed 197 births or 8.09 percent. While the non- fertile age group (45 over) showed fertility performance at 5 recorded live births or 0.21 percent. Timely Registered Marriages by Municipality Rizal, June 2018 • The municipality that has the highest number of timely marriages was recorded in Antipolo with 222 Municipality Number of registered documents, followed by Marriages Taytay with 96 and Binangonan with ANGONO 33 93 marriages. The province also generated a total of 920 timely registered deaths for the month of June. Antipolo was on the top Table H. In its 8:00 AM, 26 January 2020 advisory, the agency has lowered the alert status of Taal Volcano from Alert Level 4 to Alert Level 3 (decreased tendency towards hazardous Eruption), recommending that entry into Taal’s Permanent Danger Zone within seven 7-kilometer radius from the Main Crater is strictly prohibited.
