TOWNLINE ROAD - ROUND LAKE, IL 60073 ! !“Falling Back” Into the Routine… It seems like we have all easily fallen back into the daily routine of the new school year. We’re waking up on time (for some of us, maybe not) and replaced cartoon watching on the couch with solving math problems at a desk. The PTO is here to make a change for our school, just like a tree goes from green to golden yellow this time of year.! As you’ll read on to find out, we had a number of successful and entertaining events sponsored by our PTO last month. Our goal is to unify our students, their families, and the Park School Campus staff, while helping raise funds to enrich our children’s education and overall school experience. This past month was proof that we’re unified! By attending an event or donating your time to assist, you’re helping us get one step closer to reaching our goals. Thank you for your support!! A huge thank you to everyone that attended the PTO meeting last month! Please join us in welcoming our newest Board members - Meghan Cripe and Jennifer Garraway. ! We have some great events planned this month - Movie Night, Book Fair, Staff Appreciation Dinner, Munchkins with Mom, Dave & Buster’s Spirit Night, 5th Grade Ice Cream Social, and the Halloween Dance. Purchase affordable books for your child and their teacher, while supporting your school. Last year, we were able to purchase a new SmartBoard and provide over $2,500 in books to our school with the money raised at the book fairs. Look for exact days and times in the attached flier. Look for your invitation next week to join Mr. Melamed and Mr. Dinsmore for a special breakfast in the multi-purpose room after the Howler broadcast. STAFF APPRECIATION DINNER 10.8.15 5pm! Our hardworking staff will be treated to a Mexican dinner from Garden Fresh during their late night of conferences next week. Thank you for all you do for our students and school every day! MUNCHKINS WITH MOM 10.16.15 7:50am! Moms, Grandmas, Aunts - join us for FREE donuts, coffee, and juice! Meet other parents, let your kids show you off to their friends, and then walk them to class. See you there!! DAVE & BUSTER’S SPIRIT NIGHT - VERNON HILLS 10.20.15! PICTURE RETAKES 10.29.15 HALLOWEEN CELEBRATIONS 10.30.15! After the K-4th grade costume parade at 1:50pm (AM Kindergarteners will have their costume parade at 10:55am), we invite the 5th graders to join us for some delicious frozen goodies with their friends. You may not be able to dress in a costume to school anymore, but you’ll be the only ones in the school with spooktacular sundaes!! It was a perfect evening to catch up with old friends and meet new ones at the Round Lake Area Park District Aquatics Center. Thank you to everyone that helped make a splash into the new school year!!! 8/25 - School Supply Pick Up/Popsicle Welcome! The popsicles were a hit, as always! Thank you to everyone that supported our first fundraiser this year. We raised $1500 for our students!! STAFF SPOTLIGHT 8/27 - Boohoo/Yahoo Breakfast! ! We always love seeing our Kindergarten parents at this event! We met so many new families and truly enjoyed helping you get your questions Kelli Sibigtroth answered. A huge thanks to the Hainesville Starbucks for donating the ! coffee for this event!! 9/3 and 9/10 - Back to School Nights! What do you do at Park?
