These organizations provide a variety of critical community-based services such as English language classes, workplace abuse trainings, and arts education. UnLocal partners with these organizations to amplify their capacity by providing immigration law presentations, legal consultations, legal referrals and representation. The program envisions many levels of support for students, families, teachers and guidance staff both with the college process and legal representation. There have been more than 200 attendees at CAP events to date. R T 2 0 1 6 Y E A R E N D R E P O 4 S U 7 C 1 0 O F 2 2017 FOCUS: DACA & IMMIGRATION REFORM D A C A & I M M I G R A T I O N R E F O R M In the event that President Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy is revoked, UnLocal staff and attorneys will continue to collaborate with DACA recipients and allies to secure other immigration benefits in the fight against threats of deportation. The current administration poses a significant threat to immigrants who are seeking legal status and remaining in the United States with their loved ones. We are looking to expand our capacity in 2017, and will work to ensure that New York City remains a welcoming place for any and all Americans.
