Bird o: 604.733.9800 c: 604.839.8532 [email protected] J.P Furukawa BIOGRAPHY • FULL DGC Member as dual category DIRECTOR/ FIRST ASSISTANT DIRECTOR • Jason Furukawa is a 4th generation Japanese Canadian visible Asian ethnic minority • He is a Graduate from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology from the CTSR Program (Cinema, TV, Stage and Radio Arts) • DGC Member since 1989 • UBCP Member since 2013 Jason began his artistic ventures in Stage and Musical Theatre as a professional singer while going to school for Film and TV. His first TV job was as an in-house editor for a post-production house in Calgary under contract with the IOC in 1989. After gaining his DGC membership Jason moved to Vancouver where he sought to begin his career as a Production Assistant. st Jason climbed the industry ladder from PA to TAD to 3rd, 2nd and then 1st AD. 1 ADing on some of the biggest shows in Vancouver including The X-Files, Smallville, AMC’s The Terror aka Infamy and most recently, Apple TV’s Pachinko. Jason was given the opportunity in 2001 to direct on the Canadian TV series “Cold Squad” for CTV. This launched him down the Directing path. Canadian credits continued with the drama “Godiva’s” (CITY TV), the kid’s sitcom “Mr. Young” (YTV/Disney), comedy series “Robson Arms” (CTV)) and multiple seasons of the American series “R.L. Stein’s The Haunting Hour” (HUB) for which Jason was proudly nominated for a DAYTIME EMMY for Outstanding Directing of a Children’s Series from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in the United States. With his good fortune of working on every possible form of Film and TV over 30 years as a film maker and holding the position as a 1st AD on mainstream Film and TV, this has offered him the opportunity to work side by side executing the production decisions of some of the top Director’s in Hollywood. He has been a part of both high and low budget production since the start of his career. As a DIRECTOR, Jason brings not just the creative disciplines of production but also by being an AD he understands production schedule and time. Alien infertility has also featured in all of the popular SF television series, particularly in Star Trek, and the next section will be devoted to alien infertility in the Star Trek universe. In an interesting twist on the praying-mantis theme, men are truly needed, albeit briefly, in the two Star Trek episodes, The Lorelei Signal (1973)1 and Favorite Son (1997),2 in which beautiful females feed off the ‘life energies’ of males, thus killing men to retain their immortality at the expense of infertility. In When the Bough Breaks (1988), the starship Enterprise encounters a planet that is deliberately kept cloaked using a form of sophisticated stealth technology.     ‘GARAGE SALE MYSTERY: MURDER MOST MEDIEVAL’ Cast Bios LORI LOUGHLIN (Jennifer Shannon) – Best recognized for her role as Rebecca Donaldson (Aunt Becky) on the long-running hit comedy series “Full House,” Loughlin currently stars in the hit Hallmark Channel Original Primetime Series, “When Calls the Heart” and has revived her role of Aunt Becky on Netflix’s “Fuller House.” In 2008, Loughlin added another iconic series to her resume: The CW’s “90210.” Loughlin was a co-creator, producer and star of the acclaimed WB drama “Summerland.” Her feature film credits include the 2009 comedy feature Old Dogs and Moondance Alexander. Loughlin has starred in several Hallmark Channel Original Movies, among them “Meet My Mom,” “Northpole 2: Open for Christmas” and “Every Christmas Has a Story.” She originated the role of Jennifer Shannon in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ “Garage Sale Mystery” series, starring in the first eponymous film and subsequent installments “All That Glitters,” “The Deadly Room,” “The Wedding Dress,” “Guilty Until Proven Innocent,” “The Novel Murders” and “The Art of Murder.” Born and raised in Hauppauge, Long Island, Loughlin got her start in show business at a young age. Chris H-B works well with talent, creative, and production to generate the finest images for the client. Chris has a BA in Military History, MA in International Affairs and a diploma in Fine Arts. His Military service included Southeast Asia, Africa, Greece, Germany, Turkey, Africa, the Pentagon, and the Middle East. He is a licensed pilot; a Padi certified diver, and parachutist, trained in desert, jungle, and mountain survival. He is an experienced sailor, a kayaker, mountaineer, Bon vivant, lover of fine wines and avid cross-country skier Chris is a member of C.A.P.I.C., The Overseas Press Club, The American Society of Media Photographers, National Press Photographer's Association, Combat Photographer's Association, I.A.T.S.E. (roster member US Local 600, Canadian Locals 667 and 669).
