Little Zandras looks out over this fascinating protected landscape to a great expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, especially from the first floor. Paths in the vicinity lead down to the which descends to Portheras Cove just beyond which is a superb sandy beach well off the tourist trail and is within easy walking distance.

Little Zandras is a detached granite cottage in an area where most properties are terraced. The interior has been modernised including double glazing and a central heating system although it still retains features such as the attractive open fireplace in the sitting room. 3 Ref: LCAA8196 Downstairs is a kitchen/dining room and separate sitting room whilst on the first floor are two bedrooms, the principle bedroom having a dual aspect outlook include across the countryside to the sea, whilst the second bedroom also has a huge picture window facing the sea and is currently used as a sitting room enjoying the best of the sunsets. These bedrooms share a contemporary shower room.

The detached nature of the property and the garden are two of its key assets that make it stand apart from others in the area. To the rear is parking for two cars whilst to the front is a large lawned garden secluded behind high hedging and stone walls. Within the south facing garden are large shrubs, two painted timber sheds and there is a view over the wall to the sea. The property is currently holiday let through www.holidaycottages.co.uk and can be found on their website by searching for Little Zandras. Our client has been very pleased with their consistent returns of circa £20,000 per annum gross. Our client also has a housekeeper who would be happy to continue maintaining the cottage and carrying out changeovers should this be desirable to a new owner.

LOCATION

The coastal hamlet of Lower Boscaswell is adjacent to Pendeen and is about a mile from Portheras Cove which is one of a few good sized beaches in the area and sits below Pendeen Lighthouse. A little known beach, it is revered by local surfers, although in calmer conditions it is ideal for families. The South West Coast Path leads away from Portheras Cove giving dramatic cliff top walks over National Trust owned land with views that have inspired artists for generations.

A few miles to the south is St Just, known as the last town in , where a fuller range of facilities can be found. Only a few miles further on is Land’s End and the picturesque harbourside village of Sennen overlooking Whitesand Bay with views to the Isles of Scilly. The coastal road to the north leads to St Ives, one of Cornwall’s most popular seaside resorts, with many cafés, restaurants and art galleries set around its harbour and overlooking its surfing beaches. About 10 minutes’ drive away is Penzance which has the greatest range of services in West Cornwall, including supermarkets, the terminus for the Penzance to Paddington railway line, a local hospital and education up to college level.
