THU 31 OCT - FRI 01 NOV 8PM Main Auditorium €25 SAT 02 NOV 8PM Main Auditorium €18 / €16 conc €15

Back by popular demand ... ‘Frankie’s Guys - A celebration of ‘Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons’ is a fast paced, energetic production with an authentic live concert feel. Putting their own charismatic stamp on timeless classics such as, ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’, ‘Walk Like A Man’, ‘Sherry’ & ‘Oh What A Night’, the boys take you on a nostalgic trip down memory lane and remind you exactly why ‘The Four Seasons’ sold over 100 million records and earned themselves a place in the prestigious ‘Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’.

Joanne Ryan’s internationally acclaimed, multi award-winning show is a funny, tender and moving exploration of reproduction in 21st-Century Ireland. Looking down the barrel of her final fertile years, one modern Irish woman goes on a comical quest to uncover the ifs, hows and crucially the whys of reproducing her genes. Mixing animation with stand-up, monologue and hilarious recorded interjections from Ryan’s mother, Eggsistentialism takes a light-hearted but unflinching look at one of life’s most compelling dilemmas: should making a life for oneself involve making another?

50 51 Artist Residencies Ceol Connected Theatre Company in Residence 2019 Michael McLoughlin Artist in Residence 2017-2019

Draíocht is delighted to work with Ceol Connected as Theatre Company in Residence during 2019 to develop LEAF, a multi-sensory performance for children with complex needs. In doing so, we are responding to our 2018- 2022 Strategy ‘Space for the Arts’ and in particular our commitment to expand equality of access to more children.

Ceol Connected is a young and impassioned theatre company that strives to create meaningful, beguiling, virtuosic, fantastical, and gloriously joyful work for young audiences that is of the highest quality and that draws inspiration and intrigue from the world of traditional arts. They are the makers of ‘The Quiet Tree’, The Far Field’, ’The Wonderful Tune’, ‘A Winter Wish’, ‘Whistle in the Wind’, and most recently ‘Return of Spring’. Michael McLoughlin has been Artist in Residence in Draíocht since 2017. The journey began with an invitation to take on the role of ‘diviner’ (coined A core creative team comprised of Ceol Connected’s Dr. Thomas Johnston by Sharon Murphy, Curator in Residence); to spend time in Mulhuddart, (traditional artist and theatre-maker), Orla Kelly (visual artist), and Joanna developing an understanding of the communities within it and in turn begin Williams (Director) are developing, with Draíocht’s support, a new inclusive to suggest possible linkages between Draíocht, Mulhuddart residents and the and highly participatory theatrical performance, specifically designed for participations that could build potential points of connection.
