QUOTES FROM THE COACH: KNIGHT NOTES: “I was pleased with our effort,” stated George Roll on Seven Golden Knight newcomers were in Saturday’s line-up the Knights’ game against the University of Toronto. “I against the University of Toronto, including six freshmen … thought the first period we came out with a lot of Four rookies, Nathan Beausoleil, Matt Curley (Madrid, NY), intensity. In the second period we got into some penalty Michael Grenzy (Lockport, NY) and Matt Nickerson saw trouble and never got into the flow, and in the third considerable time on the blueline, which helped to limit Toronto period we got a goal early and kind of road that the rest to just 16 shots on goal … Freshman goaltender Kyle McNulty of the way. Overall, I was happy, having only been on posted a solid 60 minutes in his collegiate debut, recording the ice a week to really work on system play. I thought 15 saves while allowing just one power-play goal … Left maybe we were a little bit too anxious offensively with wing Mike Sullivan (Stouffville, ONT) was the lone rookie our D jumping in and against better teams we may get up front, while junior right wing Lyon Porter (Shaker Heights, caught on that. But that is something we can work on in OH), a transfer from Fairfield University, also made his first practice.
