Her name is synonymous with excellence, having won an Oscar, two Emmys, a Tony and a Grammy. 55+ Magazine was fortunate to catch up with Ms. Moreno via her longtime friend NY public relations guru Bill Kapfer. As Bill put it, “She’s a gem!”

55+ I heard you sing at last year’s Kennedy Center Honors- you were great – what do you do to maintain your voice? R.M. I do vocal exercises. As you get older one tends to develop what I call a wobble. I would rather eat glass than let that happen to my voice. Before a show I do an hour vocal warm-up. You may have noticed that I do not have that wobble. I’ve been told I have a youthful voice.

Morenopor David Ranofsky Cuando estábamos deliberando acerca de cuál era la celebridad que iba a engalanar nuestra primera tapa, sólo una legendaria figura vino a mi mente, Rita Moreno. La señora Moreno representa el estilo de vida activo de los lectores de 55+ Magazine.
Su nombre es sinónimo de excelencia, ganó un Oscar, dos Emmys, un Tony y un Grammy! 55+ Magazine tuvo la fortuna de alcanzar a Ms. Moreno gracias al gurú en Relaciones Públicas Bill Kapfer. Y como él dijo “¡Ella es una gema!”.
55+ ¡Se la ve genial! ¿ Hace algún tipo de R.M. Lo estoy intentando ahora que estoy ejercicio? en mi...edad(dotage) (risas)de usar menos R.M. Trato de caminar cuatro o cinco millas, azúcar y mi marido y yo tratamos de incluir tres o cuatro veces por semana, cuando en nuestra dieta la menor grasa posible : puedo. Casi siempre estoy en un avión pollo, pescado, ensaladas y legumbres. ¡Nos volando hacia algún lugar. Viajo mucho, encantan todas esas cosas! Honestamente pero ¡Tengo que hacer ejercicio! nada que esté en nuestra dieta es muy original. Comemos frutos de mar pero no 55+ En su opinión ¿Cuál es la clave para mariscos. Por otro lado si mi cuerpo me dice mantenerse saludable? “debes comer carne”, lo hago. Yo escucho a R.M. Creo que mantener el corazón joven, mi cuerpo. Eso para mí es importante. todo está en la actitud personal…Soy una persona optimista. Él fue muy dulce… me susurró “Michelle no importa”. Volví a ser honrada por el galardón “Aquí me quedo”, así que voy a estar por allí pronto. Debo decir honestamente que puedo parecer presumida, pero cuando fui llamada para la Medalla de Honor…yo dije “¿usted quiere decir que existe otra medalla?”Realmente no podía creer que existía otra medalla de honor/ otro honor!

Yo nunca me canso de que me vinculen con el presidente con semejante rol! ¡Veo esa película y todavía Barack Obama lloro! quien le entregó la Medalla de Honor del Fondo 55+ Parece que todos tenemos lugares inusuales Nacional para mantener los Premios de La Academia. R.M. No hice nada especial con ellos. Tengo (Derecha) En The distintas condecoraciones, estatuillas, medallas, Heart Truth la Medalla Presidencial de la Libertad que el Red Dress - Presidente Bush me dio…¡hay tantos! Están Pista todos en un largo estante. Cuando recibí mi estrella del Camino de la Fama, ellos me dieron una réplica. Se ve como en aquel camino, es realmente hermosa! Es de dos pies de largo. ¡Es una réplica estupenda!
