These financial statements are the responsibility of the Political Party's management. Our Responsibility is to express an opinion on these financial statements based ' on our audit. We conducted our audit in accordance with the auditing standards generally accepted in India. Those Standards require that we plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free of material misstatement. An audit includes examining, on a test basis, evidence supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. An audit also includes assessing the accounting principles used and significant estimates made by management, as well as evaluating the overall financial statements presentation.We believe that our audit provideda reasonablebasis for our opinion. The object of the party is the well being and advanced of the people of India the establishment in India oy peaceful and constitutional means of socialist State based on Parliamentary Democracy in which there is equality of opportunity and of Political economic and social rights and which aims at world peace and fellowship. (B) SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES: 01 BASIS OF PREPARATION: The financial statements have been prepared to comply with all material respects with the Accounting Standard Guidance Notes issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention on accrual basis and the accounting policies have been consistently applied by the party and are consistent with those used in previous year. 02 USE OF ESTIMATES: The preparation of financial statements in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles required by the management to make estimates and assumptions that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities and disclosure of contingent liabilities at the date of the financial statements. 03 FIXED ASSETS AND DEPRECIATION AIII'ORTIZATION Depreciation has been provided at the rates prescribed by the Income-Tax Act, 1961 on prorata basis. Fixed Assets have been physically verified by the Management! Office Bearer and as explained there is no ditterence between physical assets and books assets. 04 EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Remuneration and other employees benefits are accounted for on accrual basis. 05 REVENUE RECOGNITION Except annual membership fees from member all the income & Expenditures are accounted for on accrual basis. 06 INVESTMENTS Investments are classified into current and long term investments. Current investments are stated at cost. Members, I have to inform the House of the sad demise of Shri Resham Lal Jangde. Shri Jangde died on 11 August, 2014 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh at the age of 89. He was a member of the First, Second and Ninth Lok Sabhas representing the Bilaspur Parliamentary Constituency of Madhya Pradesh, now in Chhattisgarh. An able parliamentarian, Shri Jangde served as a member of various Parliamentary Committees. Shri Jangde was a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly for three terms from 1962 to 1967, 1972 to 1977 and from 1985 to 1989. He also served as Deputy Minister in the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 1963. An active social and political worker, Shri Jangde participated in freedom movement. He worked relentlessly for social harmony and eradication of the dowry system. We deeply mourn the loss of Shri Resham Lal Jangde and convey our condolences to the bereaved family. The Members then stood in silence for a short while. ELECTION OF DEPUTY SPEAKER THE MINISTER OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI RAJNATH SINGH) moved that Dr. M. Thambidurai , a member of this House, be chosen as the Deputy Speaker of this House.     Modi 2.0 Heralds a New Era in Indian Politics Dr Ashutosh Misra Within a span of one week two astonishing electoral victories have dominated the world’s media headlines. Scott Morrison led ‘miraculous’ Liberal National Party coalition victory in Australia, and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janta Party’s landslide victory beating the 2014 record, securing 303 seats in the lower house. Both leaders stand re- elected for another term which will ensure bilateral policy, business and trade continuum. Modi’s massive sweep has obliterated the Indian National Congress—the key national opposition party—which was limited to 52 seats (8 better than 2014) but failed to secure a single seat in 17 states and union territories. The BJP for the first time replaced the INC and the Left parties in Orissa, West Bengal and Assam, as the main opposition party. From winning just two seats in the 1984 elections to securing 303 seats, 28 more than the majority, and 18 more than in 2014, and 350 overall with its National Democratic Alliance partners, the BJP has rendered the political pundits gobsmacked. The success can be attributed to Modi’s incorruptible political career, towering international stature, simple lifestyle and personal drive to work 15-18 hours a day, which has won wide respect from the people. In the popular narrative, people say, Modi was contesting at all 542 seats, as people largely voted for him, and not the local candidate. This victory has been underpinned by multiple factors and also heralded new trends in the Indian politics.

All these factors determine the political scenario in the southern and northern states at the time of elections. There are many similarities in both the parts and there are many differences which makes them distinct from each other. This paper is an effort to understand the differences and similarities in the politics of the southern and northern states of India.
