INTRODUCTION, DESCRIPTION & DETAILS Field of Application : In residential, office & business complexes, cars rentals, cars dealer. Ideally suited for permanent long-term parkers & for places where pits cannot be made but where clear height is available for parking two cars one above the other. Also where dependent parking is accepted and not a problem i.e. meaning that if two cars are parked one above the other as shown in data sheet then the lower car would have to moved out first to retrieve the car on the upper level. System Description : The car parking system has one platform inclined at angles of 3.4 ˚ or 7.8 ˚ from ground depending of installation procedure and ceiling/cars high. The lower parking space can be accessed directly at floor level. The platform is equipped with a drive-on tire wedge for placing the car in position, tire cradle to ensure no cars movement if it is parked in neutral and tire stop to prevent any accidental driving mistake. These wedge, tire cradle and tire stop take care of cars of different lengths. The system has a left and right column support construction, which are firmly fastened to the footing base shown in the components data sheet. The platform is equipped with a torsion pipe bar to ensure platform evenness. Any accidental lowering of the upper platform is prevented by means of two different safety systems: electromechanical safety locking valve and mechanical safety locking hook. Both safety devices are active an in-alert always as required by EU regulation. Also a sound and lighting alarm will advise during lifting and lowering of platform up to the locking position and/or floor position. In case the load lifter will exceed 2,500Kg. a second sound alarm will goes off to advise operator and in the mean time lifting operation will not be possible any longer up to the moment that extra weight is removed. INTRODUCTION, DESCRIPTION & DETAILS Advantages: Low price. Very minimal construction height required. Access in slightly inclined platform – this reduces height of construction. Perfect synchronism between lifting and lowering movements to torsional bar. Systems can be arranged intelligently so that hydraulic units in groups are possible and economic if more than 10 units are driven with single hydraulic pack. This reduces cost. Low power requirements. Approx. only 1 kW consumed per cycle. Intelligent sheet metal technology – screw connections – no site welding. Biodegradable hydraulic oil used – environmentally friendly. Systems are mobile in nature – they can be shifted without much cost and difficulty if the need arises. No foundation needed. Floor flatness: +/- 1% Self loading bearing structure. Architectural Features and Possibilities: Very low construction heights used to accommodate two cars. Highly suited for places where constraints of height of construction are there. 2 cars can be parked requiring a construction height of approx. 3 metre only. Most convenient low cost option for providing dependent parking. Very safe and user friendly. For large requirement several such systems can be installed adjacently. Platforms of varying length are possible depending on car to be parked. Systems for varying car heights are also possible to design depending upon space constraints. Compact and precise arrangement of cars for parking saves valuable space. Very suitable for existing/old building structures where space constrains severely limit construction of extra parking space. Hydraulic power packs and control systems can be mounted on walls, hollow spaces in walls, to reduce space requirements. Maintenance: Very low maintenance requirements – highly reliable technology. Easy availability of spares and after sales service. Power requirement: Very low power requirements. Each unit has a 1.5kW motor and actual power consumption is approx. less than 1kW per cycle of operation. If power fluctuations more than 10% - voltage – stabilizer recommended. TECHNICAL FEATURES Parking Platform Capacity : 2,200kg – 2,500kg Parking Headroom : 1.26m (Model 22L), 1.6m (Model 23), and 2.0m (Model One 2.5) for the lower parking space. Steel Protection : Parking platform made of hot zinc rolled metal sheets. All other vertical and longitudinal frame parts are hot dipped galvanized. Electric Components : Electric Control Panel manually operated with spring-loaded key switch selector, with emergency push-button, red light signal for active voltage. An audible signal will be provided, if the platform has not reached the upper or lower stop position or has not been mechanically locked. An overload device will be installed to prevent any movement of the platform and give an alarm when the load on the elevating platform is in excess of the rated capacity. Electric drive motor (220V, 1 phase, 2 HP or above). Hydraulic Power Pack : Hydraulic power pack consists of oil tank, electric drive motor and hydraulic pump. Hand Pump for emergency operation. Two single effect hydraulic cylinders. Hydraulic circuit with fittings and pressure hoses. Safety Features : Mechanical safety locks are self locking at desired adjustable position. Electro-hydraulic (two-way solenoid valve) functioning during raising and lowering of the unit. A mechanical overload device (maximum relief valve) is equipped on the standard units. The platform will not move if it is overloaded and to give an alarm when the load on the elevating platform is in excess of the rated capacity. Wheels stop and wheels cradle installed on parking platform in order to ensure car wheels stop during parking operations. Emergency relieve hydraulic pressure valve, (to be used in case of Electrical Power Black Out), that allow platform to be lowered at street level for car removal. Emergency Push Button installed in the Electric Control Panel. Deadman Control : The movement of the platform shall be stopped, unless the operator keeps operating the key switch on the Electric Control Panel during the raising or lowering process. Drive the car slowly until car wheels reach stop bar. Ensure hand brake is engaged according to manufacturer’s instructions. Check safety lever is in “up” position for lifting operation. Insert key into control panel E-stop switch. Check there are no people, animals or objects in the parking platform and/or in the effective area of the unit. Turn the key to switch on the system with Running indicator red lamp light up. Turn selector switch to right and keep it in position until the platform reaches its highest level, then turn to the left to lower platform onto safety hook. Check mechanical safety hook has engaged fully. Press the E-stop switch then remove the key from the control panel. Car Collection Procedure The procedure to lower the car that is parked in the upper platform is as follows:- Insert key into control panel E-stop switch. Check there are no people, animals or objects in the parking platform and/or in the effective area of the unit. Turn the key to switch on the system with Running indicator red lamp light up Turn selector switch to the right to raise the platform; Ensure safety lever is in correct position for lowering. (The safety lever, which is located at the edge of the front of the platform, is simply pulled manually to the correct position) Release safety hook by manually turn the Safety Lever to “down” position; Turn selector switch to the left until to lower platform.
