During the lone postseason meeting between the Thunder and Spurs in 2012, Oklahoma City advanced to the NBA Finals after defeating San Antonio 4-2 in the Western Conference Finals. During the 2013-14 regular season, the Thunder went a perfect 4-0 against the Spurs. There have been only three instances in NBA history where one team went 4-0 vs. another team in the regular season before going onto meet in the Conference Finals. In all three cases, the team that swept the regular season series went onto win the playoff series as well. Playoff Notes: Oklahoma City is making its fifth consecutive trip to the playoffs and in each of the last four seasons, the Thunder has advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals. After defeating Memphis in the first round of the 2014 playoffs, the Thunder became the only Western Conference team to advance out of the first round in each of the last four seasons (Miami also accomplished the feat in the Eastern Conference). After defeating the Clippers in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals, the Thunder remains 3-0 in postseason series when leading the series 3-2. Comeback Kids: In both Games 5 and 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals versus the Clippers, the Thunder claimed victory after trailing each game by 15+ points. By overcoming 15 point deficits in back-to-back postseason games, the Thunder became the first team to recover from such margins in consecutive games since the Sacramento Kings accomplished the feat during the 2001 playoffs.

Oklahoma City – When he was drafted fourth overall by the Seattle Supersonics in the 2008 NBA draft, analysts struggled to come up with a player comparison for him. Marc Jackson compared him to Gary Payton and because of his rebounding ability; the media tabbed Rajon Rondo as the best example of what he could turn into. Still, others thought he was built in the Steve Francis mold. However, it may be the Black Mamba, in terms of intensity and eye- popping athletic ability, who may be the closest and best equivalent when looking at the future of Russell Westbrook. Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors earned his first All-Star selection, joining teammate and starter Stephen Curry to give the Western Conference-leading Warriors two All-Stars for the first time since Chris Mullin and Tim Hardaway in 1993. The 64 th NBA All-Star Game will tip off Sunday, Feb. 15, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The game will be seen by fans in 215 countries and territories and will be heard in 47 languages. TNT will televise the All-Star Game for the 13th consecutive year, marking Turner Sports' 30 th year of NBA All- Star coverage. The Hawks’ trio is joined in the East by Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat, the Chicago Bulls’ Jimmy Butler and the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kyrie Irving . This is the 11 th consecutive All-Star selection for Wade and the 10 th straight nod for Bosh, who becomes only the third player in NBA history to earn five trips to the All-Star Game with two different teams (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kevin Garnett). To the surprise of very few, the Stephen Curry-led Warriors are leading the Spurs in the series and are widely expected to return to the NBA Finals. The LeBron James-led Cavaliers are expected to defeat the Celtics. (New Englanders widely disagree with this prediction, although the first-game blowout suggests the Cavaliers are playing with a champion’s confidence.) A Cavaliers series victory could set up a rematch of the pre-season division favorites. You may wonder how basketball rivalries and the NBA playoffs relate to non-competition agreements Florida. It’s simple. Both Cleveland and Golden State loaded their teams with talent to out-perform the competition. Cleveland added LeBron James and Kevin Love to join Kyrie Irving. Together, the three of them form a consistent and formidable foundation for the Cavaliers’ success. Golden State pulled off perhaps an equally impressive coup. With the possibility of an immediate championship, Golden State lured Kevin Durant away from adoring fans (and away from NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook) in Oklahoma City. Under the NBA rules, once a player is eligible for trade, there is very little that a team can do to stop that player from leaving to join a team that he prefers. Usually higher salaries incentivize players to move.

    TEAM TRAINING Impact Basketball is very proud of our extensive productive tradition of training teams from around the world as they prepare for upcoming events, seasons, or tournament competition. It is with great honor that we help your team to be at its very best through our comprehensive training and team-building program. The Impact Basketball Team Training Program will give your players a chance to train together in a focused environment with demanding on-court offensive and defensive skill training along with intense off-court strength and conditioning training. The experienced Impact Basketball staff will provide the team with a truly unique bonding experience through training and competition, as well as off-court team building activities. Designated team practice times and live games against high-level American players, including NBA players, provide teams with an opportunity to prepare for their upcoming competition while also developing individually. Each team’s program will be completely customized to fit their schedule, with direct consultation from the team’s coaching staff and management. We will integrate any and all concepts that the coaching staff would like to implement and focus the training on areas that the team’s coaches have deemed deficient. Our incorporation of off-site training and team-building exercises make this a one-of-a-kind opportunity for team and individual development. We have the ability to provide training options for the entire team or for a smaller group of the team’s players. The Impact staff can help set up all the housing, food, and transportation needs for the team.
