The annual meeting of the Entomological Society of America is always a traditional opportunity for informal gatherings of chrysomelid researchers, particularly those working in the United States. In recent years, Shawn Clark has become our “leader” in organizing informal luncheon meetings, to catch up with each other, welcome new researchers, hear about research and fieldwork, and exchange reprints and specimens.
