• Renault Caravelle
RENAULT CARAVELLE Named after a light, fast, European ship from the 15th Century, the Renault Caravelle is a stylish rear-engined sports car. This particular car was restored by a Renault enthusiast, and the quality of restoration is rare to find for these cars. You can take this car straight out on the road. The Caravelle is a small rear-engined design that used the floorplan and engine of the Renault Dauphine sedan. It is basically a Dauphine cabriolet, but it is slightly lower and wider. The chassis carries a high-revving four-cylinder engine, rack-and-pinion steering, and a fully independent suspension. The style is akin to that of the Carman Ghia and Volvo P1800, both also conceived by Ghia and Frua in Italy. Love it or hate it, it does have a certain charm. You might even say the Ford Mustang borrowed its bodyside scoop from the Caravelle. The engine of 1108 cc produces 55 hp (41 kW). The car had a top speed of 89 mph (143 km/h). The Caravelle's performance closely matched that of the contemporary Triumph Spitfire 4 under most headings. The white and red colour scheme gives the car a Californian vibe. The interior radiates sixties style. You’ll feel like Sammy Davis Jr., who introduced the car at the New York Auto Show in December 1959, cruising down the boulevard. Look sharp and drive in style. Please call us 0032 (0) 498 51 96 03 Roel for all the info. Brand: Renault tel roel: +32 498 519603 - tel pieter: +32 493 700409 - [email protected] - senator alfons jeurissenlaan 1229-1231, 3520 zonhoven Type: Caravelle Engine: 1.14 l Year: 1965 Transmission: manuel Mileage: - Exterior: white Interior: red Price: 27000 tel roel: +32 498 519603 - tel pieter: +32 493 700409 - [email protected] - senator alfons jeurissenlaan 1229-1231, 3520 zonhoven.

Karl E. Ludvigsen papers, 1905-2011. Archival Collection 26 Karl E. Ludvigsen papers, 1905-2011. Archival Collection 26 Miles Collier Collections Page 1 of 203 Karl E. Ludvigsen papers, 1905-2011. Archival Collection 26 Title: Karl E. Ludvigsen papers, 1905-2011. Creator: Ludvigsen, Karl E. Call Number: Archival Collection 26 Quantity: 931 cubic feet (514 flat archival boxes, 98 clamshell boxes, 29 filing cabinets, 18 record center cartons, 15 glass plate boxes, 8 oversize boxes). Abstract: The Karl E. Ludvigsen papers 1905-2011 contain his extensive research files, photographs, and prints on a wide variety of automotive topics. The papers reflect the complexity and breadth of Ludvigsen’s work as an author, researcher, and consultant. Approximately 70,000 of his photographic negatives have been digitized and are available on the Revs Digital Library. Thousands of undigitized prints in several series are also available but the copyright of the prints is unclear for many of the images. Ludvigsen’s research files are divided into two series: Subjects and Marques, each focusing on technical aspects, and were clipped or copied from newspapers, trade publications, and manufacturer’s literature, but there are occasional blueprints and photographs. Some of the files include Ludvigsen’s consulting research and the records of his Ludvigsen Library. Scope and Content Note: The Karl E. Ludvigsen papers are organized into eight series. The series largely reflects Ludvigsen’s original filing structure for paper and photographic materials. Series 1. Subject Files [11 filing cabinets and 18 record center cartons] The Subject Files contain documents compiled by Ludvigsen on a wide variety of automotive topics, and are in general alphabetical order.

• Alpine Passion Through the Years at Retromobile
COMMUNIQUÉ DE PRESSE 07022017 ALPINE PASSION THROUGH THE YEARS AT RETROMOBILE Retromobile set to play host to six classic Alpine models The Alpine Vision show car will also be on display as a symbolic bridge between the brand’s past and future BoulogneBillancourt, February 7, 2017 – Groupe Renault is pleased to confirm Alpine’s participation in the 42nd edition of Retromobile (February 812, with Press Evening on February 7) at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre in Paris. Just days away from the global unveil of the brand’s eagerlyanticipated new road car that will go on sale this year, Alpine aficionados and automotive aesthetes alike will have the opportunity to either discover or rediscover some of the most iconic models ever to have sported the famous arrowed ‘A’ badge. ALPINE A106 The adventure begins! This striking ‘Coach’ – launched back in 1955 – was the very first Alpine, exhibiting the unmistakable hallmarks that would go on to characterise all of the Dieppebased manufacturer’s future models. The son of a Dieppe Renault dealer – whom he would subsequently succeed, in so doing becoming the youngest car dealer in France – Jean Rédélé threw himself into the competitive world of motorsport in 1950. His skill behind the wheel saw him tally excellent results and class triumphs in events as prestigious as the Rallye MonteCarlo, the Mille Miglia, the Tour de France Automobile and the daunting LiègeRomeLiège Rally. These successes were achieved with a Renault 4CV, but Jean Rédélé had somewhat loftier ambitions: his dream was to produce a small French sports car using as many mass produced parts as possible.
