Hours of operation will be 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 21 to Friday, Sept. 26. Through Friday, Sept. 18 this week, the program is operating at four locations in the Las Vegas Valley and a location in Mesquite. A “Stop, Swap and Go” operation opened today at Eldorado High School, 1139 Linn Lane, near Nellis Boulevard and Washington Avenue. A drive-thru site is located in the school’s parking lot, and walk-up testing is available in the school gym. “We encourage as many people as possible to take advantage of the free, easy and convenient COVID-19 testing that is available through our `Stop, Swab & Go’ program,” said Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom, whose Commission District includes Eldorado High School. “The additional site at Eldorado High School is located in the heart of the Northeast Las Vegas Valley that has been especially hard hit by COVID-19. We are working hard to make testing accessible to anyone who wants to be tested because it will help us keep the virus in check until a vaccine becomes available.” Hours of operation for all four “Stop, Swab and Go” sites operating this week are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. The tests are free, self-administered nasal swabs. No proof of health insurance is required. The tests are available to anyone who wants to be tested, whether people have symptoms or not, including families and children. The public can register online for appointments at www.DoINeedaCOVID19Test.com. Those who arrive without appointments can register on site upon arrival. An on-site registration area is set up in the Eldorado High School gym for those who may need to register on-site and don’t have computer access at home. The list of “Stop, Swab & Go” locations is: • Fiesta Henderson Hotel and Casino, 777 W. Lake Mead Pkwy. in Henderson, 89015 • Texas Station Hotel and Casino, 2101 Texas Star Lane in North Las Vegas, 89032 • Sam Boyd Stadium, 7000 E. Russell Road, 89122 • Eldorado High School, 1139 Linn Lane, 89110 • City of Mesquite Streets Division Garage, 725 Hardy Way, Mesquite, Nev., 89027. (Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to noon Sept. 14, 15, 16 and 17.) The “Stop, Swab & Go” sites at Texas Station and Fiesta Henderson are operating in parking garages. The Mesquite site is drive thru. Most people are being processed through the sites in less than 10 minutes with or without appointments. “I want to thank all the staff who have worked to make the `Stop, Swab and Go’ testing process as seamless as possible for the public,” said Clark County Commission Chairman Marilyn Kirkpatrick. “Testing continues to be an important part of our community’s strategy to fight COVID-19 and re-open our economy along with wearing face coverings in public, washing your hands regularly and staying home if you contract the virus until you are no longer at risk of transmitting it to others.” Clark County, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the state of Nevada partnered to make 60,000 COVID-19 tests available in our community as part of “Stop, Swab and Go” testing blitz. The Clark County Fire Department and the Nevada National Guard are providing logistical support for the “Stop, Swab & Go,” while the federal government is providing the test kits, sample collection staff, lab capacity, and registration services. Free face coverings are offered to individuals receiving testing at each location. Clark County and state officials requested the additional resources as part of a federal program initiated by the White House and Coronavirus Task Force to offer surge testing in COVID-19 hot spots across the country. The “Stop, Swab & Go” program is operating this month in addition to the community-based testing sites. Since May, Clark County and community partners have conducted 192,393 tests as part of its community testing program. The number includes 17,284 tests that have been conducted as part of the “Stop, Swab and Go” testing blitz, 33,451 tests at Cashman Center and 14,350 at the UNLV Thomas and Mack Center Strip Pavilion Room, as well as 22,989 tests at one and two-day strike team events conducted with the Southern Nevada Health District at various locations. The registration website for the “Stop, Swab & Go” event, www.DoINeedaCOVID19Test.com, is managed by eTrueNorth, a HHS program contractor. Individuals must register to be tested by creating a username and password to schedule an appointment on the site. They will be prompted to print a voucher or take a screen shot of it with their cell phone camera to present upon arrival for their testing appointment. Results should be available within 3 to 5 business days after the date of specimen collection. Individuals will be notified by email when their test result is available. Results are only given via the website and individuals must log into the website to obtain their test results using the same username and password they created when scheduling their appointments. The telephone number to the eTrueNorth call center is (800) 635-8611. As the demand for COVID-19 testing is high so is call volume to the call center. Individuals who need help obtaining their test result can revisit the website to learn their username or reset their password. All test results, positive or negative, will be reported to the Southern Nevada Health District. Anyone notified of a positive test result is encouraged to follow-up with their primary care physician and to stay home and self-isolate to limit the spread of the virus. The Health District will follow up only with people who test positive for the virus as part of its local contact tracing and disease investigation efforts. Providing a current telephone number as part of the testing registration information for the “Stop, Swab & Go” event is critical to local health district contact tracing efforts. COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. People with general questions about COVID-19 can call the health district’s Information Phone Line at (702) 759-INFO (4636), between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Anyone in need of social service support to self-isolate can contact Nevada 2-1-1 for resource referrals. Information about COVID-19 resources also is available in Spanish through the “Esta En Tus Manos” (It’s in your hands) outreach initiative at estaentusmanosnevada.com. The health district has a calendar of testing events in English and Spanish posted at www.SNHD.info/covid.     Pyrotechnics Please review the following information. It should answer most of your questions regarding the use of pyrotechnics at the Thomas & Mack Center, Sam Boyd Stadium and Cox Pavilion. Please consult with the Thomas & Mack Center’s Event Production Manager in advance to determine if a local pyrotechnician in necessary for what you intend to do. It is to your advantage to get a determination well in advance of your scheduled event to avoid delays, overtime, or cancellation of the scheduled display. If it is your intent to include pyrotechnics as part of your event, the following policy is now in affect in the Thomas & Mack Center, Sam Boyd Stadium and Cox Pavilion. This policy is in accordance with all Clark County, State of Nevada, and Federal regulations and guidelines. You should be prepared to adhere to the following: • Notify the Event Production Manager of the Thomas & Mack Center at least ten (10) working days in advance of your intent to use pyrotechnics. • If you do not already have a Nevada licensed pyrotechnician, the Event Production Manager can provide you with a list of local licensed technicians or can arrange for their services directly. The pyrotechnician, in affect, will be an independent contractor working for you during your event. • You must provide the Clark County Fire Marshal and the Thomas & Mack Center Event Production Manager with a Certificate of Insurance that includes the seven (7) items listed under INSURANCE (see below).     Sam Boyd Stadium History Facility History Named after a prominent Las Vegas hotel owner and gaming pioneer, the facility has evolved over the years not only in size (from 15,000 to 32,000 and to 40,000 seats) but in the way it handled event bookings, marketing, and sponsorship opportunities. Sam Boyd Stadium is home to the UNLV Rebel Football team, the Las Vegas Bowl, AMA Supercross Series Finals, the Monster Jam World Finals and the Vegoose music festival. The Grateful Dead played the Sam Boyd Stadium for five consecutive years from 1991 to 1995, all of which have set records for the top grossing and highest attended shows. The band’s final performance in Las Vegas (1995) holds the #1 position, with 125,533 fans attending the concert which grossed over $3.7 million. Other music superstars who performed at the stadium include the Eagles, Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Matthews Band, Beck, Jack Johnson, Tom Petty, The Killers, Metallica, U2, Rage Against The Machine, Daft Punk , and The Roots. The stadium celebrated its 25 th anniversary in the fall of 1996 by hosting the UNLV vs. Wisconsin football game with 41,091 fans attending the event, setting the record for the state's largest attendance at an outdoor sporting event. Beginning in the fall of 1998, the Sam Boyd Stadium underwent a major $17.5 million renovation and expansion project, adding 9,000 seats to the stadium and reconfiguring the current seating capacity to 40,000. The improvements included a new concourse, upgraded and expanded restrooms, upgraded concession stands, a new press box, repaved parking lots, upgraded ADA access, and a new scoring system as well as a new playing surface.

The highlights of the Agreement are: FUNDS: Cost of Project: $7,000,000 Source of Funds: City of Las Vegas Allocation: $1,840,000 allocated on behalf of CSN to the project. This is the appraised value of the general property area to be used for the building. CONSTRUCTION: Project Manager: Project Committee (CSN and City of Las Vegas) Type of Building: 4 Bay Fire Station and College Classrooms Square Feet: 14,000 CSN's portion/square feet: 4,000 LEASING: Owner of Property: Nevada System of Higher Education Leasing Fee: City will pay $1.00 to NSHE Term: 40 year lease with 2-10 year extensions 3.
