NHL MORNING SKATE – JAN. 25, 2019 ALL-STARS TAKE TO THE ICE FRIDAY FOR SKILLS COMPETITION On a new night this year, the 2019 SAP NHL All-Star Skills will showcase hockey’s top talent at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT at SAP Center in San Jose (NBCSN, CBC, Sportsnet, TVA Sports). The event will feature six individual competitions, with the winner of each event earning $25,000. * Click here for a detailed event-by-event breakdown. * The 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Game Interactive Information Guide – featuring this weekend’s schedule of events as well as a roster of participants and rules for both the 2019 SAP NHL All- Star Skills and 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Game – now is available for download via the League’s Media site. The guide also includes a complete history of the NHL All-Star Game in addition to records and a register for skaters, goaltenders and head coaches. NHL, SHARKS LEAVE ALL-STAR LEGACY WITH RENOVATED BALL HOCKEY RINK NHL All-Stars and Sharks teammates Joe Pavelski, Brent Burns and Erik Karlsson all were on hand as the League, Sharks, SAP, City of San Jose, and 25 kids from nearby Piedmont Middle School and Noble Elementary School participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil a renovated outdoor street hockey rink in Roosevelt Park. The NHL, San Jose Sharks Foundation, and SAP collectively donated $500,000 to the outdoor rink for much-needed upgrades. Click here for more information. NHL OPENS DOORS TO FIRST-EVER ‘HOUSE OF CHEL’ Live streams at twitch.tv/nhl highlighted the first of three days of gaming at the House of Chel, the League’s first gaming house experience. Wild forward J.T. Brown and Nasher, the color commentator for the 2018 NHL Gaming World Championship, are among the gamers staying at the multimillion-dollar mansion in the hills of Palo Alto, Calif., which is owned by Silicon Valley icon Scott McNealy. KEEPER OF THE CUP, TROTTIER AND GRAVES AT FAN FAIR The NHL Fan Fair presented by SAP continues on Friday from 5-10 p.m. at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. Former Sharks forward Adam Graves, Hockey Hall of Fame member Bryan Trottier and ‘Keeper of the Cup’ Phil Pritchard are among the many attractions scheduled for today.
