AFAD reported that during the 24hrs of 29-30 July 2013 404 Syrians were admitted and registered in the camps while 490 Syrians voluntarily returned to Syria. • Local officials in Reyhanli informed the UNHCR Field Team that the number of Syrians has started to increase in Reyhanli town and its villages, while there is a high mobility not only within the country but also to/from Syria. Reportedly over some 20,000 Syrians are living in urban areas in Reyhanli and its villages. Local government officials informed the UNHCR Field team that the vulnerable Syrian families are provided cash assistance when they apply to the Social Assistance Solidarity Foundation. • Government officials in Reyhanli informed UNHCR that the border gate in Reyhanli is open for commercial traffic and those with passports. Reportedly Syrians without any document s are using unofficial border crossings. The officials informed that there are approximately 35,000 Syrians living in 7 IDP camps across the border of Hatay province. Kizilay is sending about 27,000 food packages everyday to the camps and the other needs are also provided by/through Kizilay. • The Reception Center in Reyhanli is still open; however it functions only as transit center. Syrians who cross Legend to Turkey through unofficial border crossings ,or those living in urban areas but who can no longer afford it and Military Defectors request to be transferred to a camp, are referred to the Rehanli Transit Center for the processing of their placement to a camp. The Transit Center in Altinozu is used for the same purposes, but also for those Current Tent Camps Antakya discharged from hospital during their recovery period. While some request to return to Syria voluntarily, Current Container others prefer to be placed in the camps where they are sent in consultation with AFAD Hqs.
