Cllr G Carter reported that he had met the South Staffordshire District Council’s Village Agent, Jan Wright who had attended the November meeting and it had been decided not to do monthly surgeries but would set up some Health and Well-being sessions in the Village Hall. 1845 REPORT OF THE COUNTY COUNCILLOR Cllr M Sutton Reported: o That the Council Tax in Staffordshire would rise, but as yet a decision as to by what amount has not been made. This is to cover Social Care as over a 5 year period the Governments grant for this will be reduced to zero with 50% of that already lost.

As per his visit to the Parish Council meeting, he wanted to be more involved with the Parish Councils that came within the boundaries of the Bradford Estate. He then introduced Steve Carey of Curtin and Co. who on behalf of Bradford Estates were looking after the proposal for the J3 Housing and Employment area to Shropshire County Council. Steve Carey reported that: • Shropshire County Council already had 3 preferred sites o Cosford o Tern Hill o Ironbridge Power Station • Bradford Estates had put in, very recently, a proposal to Shropshire County Council to join those bids on the land between Lizard Wood and the A41 on a Garden Village principal to include: o 5 residential areas of differing styles and levels (affordable homes etc.) o An employment area for technology companies o Shops and Local amenities o A doctors Surgery o 2 Primary Schools o 1 Secondary school o A number of Public open spaces and cycle paths • Timeline o If successful in being chosen by Shropshire County Council by the end of 2019 o The proposal would then go to the Secretary of State Inspectorate for scrutiny and acceptance which could take 18 months.
