SKYTEAM IN AND SOUTH WEST PACIFIC

Since its creation in 2000, SkyTeam has held a strong position in Asia and the South West Pacific thanks to founding member Korean Air, as well as Air France’s exten- sive network to Asia from Paris Charles de Gaulle. In 2010 Airlines joined as SkyTeam’s second carrier from the region and today, 15 SkyTeam members fly to 226 destinations in 33 countries throughout Asia and the South West Pacific region. In addition, SkyTeam is the #1 global airline alliance in the Greater region (please see separate ‘SkyTeam in China’ fact sheet). SkyTeam will expand further in the region when Garuda joins the alliance in 2014.
