KC – Kent College Junior School, Harbledown Thursday April 26th 2018 ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDENS, KEW Kew Gardens are London’s largest UNESCO World Heritage site and this visit will give you the opportunity to explore the various attractions. Cost: £39.30 Coach leaves SRE 7.50am WNCP 8.00am KC 8.10am Departure for return journey about 4.30pm Booking opens immediately and closes on April 5th. Wednesday May 2nd 2018 45th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (held in the United Reformed Church Hall, Watling St, Canterbury). 2.15pm followed by a talk – THE HIDDEN COLLECTION Ray Shayler a volunteer at Scotney Castle will tell us of the exciting items that were discovered when the attics at Scotney Castle were explored in 2008. No charge. No need to book. Tuesday May 22nd – Saturday 26th May 2018 HOLIDAY TO NORTHUMBERLAND We will be visiting Cherryburn, Cragside, The Hepworth Wakefield, Lindisfarne, Wallington, Washington Old Hall, Wimpole Estate plus time in Newcastle. Booking has now closed but places may be available. You will need your National Trust card. Cost: £474.00 per person. No single supplement subject to availability. Tuesday June 19th 2018 WINDSOR CASTLE AND SAVILL GARDEN Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world and has been the family home of British royalty for almost 1,000 years. The 35 acre Savill Gardens in Windsor Great Park are full of vibrant colour, with excellent facilities. Cost: £46.40 (includes all entrances). Wednesday July 11th 2018 KENWOOD HOUSE and RED HOUSE Robert Adam built Kenwood House for Judge Lord Mansfield as a summer home for his family on Hampstead Heath. In the afternoon we will visit William Morris’ Red House. Cost: £35.10 (NT members) Non-members £7.70 extra. Coach leaves SRE 7.50am WNCP 8.00am KC 8.10am Departure for return journey about 4.30pm – 5.00pm Booking opens on May 30th and closes on June 13th Monday August 20th 2018 THE LONDON POSTAL MUSEUM & OLD ROYAL NAVAL COLLEGE GREENWICH Today we will see collections of postal equipment and archives from the beginning of the postal service to the present day. Sir Christopher Wren built the Royal Hospital for Seamen in 1694. This visit, will give you the opportunity to explore the magnificent interiors. Cost: £33.40 (All entrances included). The four acre Walled Garden has been cultivated for hundreds of years.
