The National Rock and Pop Festival is moving home!!

In July 2013 we are happy to announce that the Festival is moving to the O2 Academy, Birmingham. This is a major step forward for the festival and we are all very excited that the festival is going back to it’s roots!

This is obviously a venue with a strong national brand and is a fantastic live venue.

The dates for this year’s festival are Saturday 13th July - Tuesday 16th July.

The National Rock and Pop Festival is a non profit event run by teachers for pupils in education. It is our passion to provide a top class performance opportunity for pupils of all ages. Everyone who visits the event will be blown away by the magnitude of the setup including 30 foot video walls, professional lighting and P.A. The stage has to be big to encompass the wide variety of acts including massed , bands and string ensembles, not forgetting the numerous pop and rock bands in their many different guises.

Rock and Pop Night 23/04/13 Rock and Pop Nights This will feature several bands from all over the borough. These nights are organised to give any performer or band the opportunity Running Order to perform to a live audience. They are open to all schools within the borough.

Solihull Music Service would like to thank SYMSA for their donation towards the new PA system and lighting which will greatly improve the Solihull Music Service performances at the Rock and Pop Nights.

Solihull Music Service is committed to working in partnership with schools and pupils to assist them in all forms of music making. It Solihull Young Support Association also enriches the lives of pupils and the community through the provision of a wide range of music making opportunities. Over 60 teachers from the Solihull Music Service currently offer tuition to 4,000 pupils of all ages. Children receive further musical support in schools. SYMSA provides a driving force to ensure that Graded an ‘outstanding’ service by MSEP Nov 2010 this situation is maintained, and our aim is that it should be available to all school children. Saturday Music Centre We are here to support all the music groups in the Borough and all their potential members. We give physical and financial support through: Publicity The aim of the Centre is to complement and enhance the teaching of Practical support at and providing refreshments music, dance and drama, in Solihull by creating opportunities for Music purchase instrumentalists and singers to take part in a variety of ensembles, Instruments according to their ability.
