GEORGIA SCP EXPANSION / Black Sea Caspian Sea Turkey AZERBAIJAN AZERBAIJAN AND GEORGIA Syria Iran ONSHORE Iraq THE EXISTING SOUTH CAUCASUS PIPELINE EXPORTS GAS FROM THE CASPIAN SEA SHAH DENIZ FIELD STARTING FROM THE SANGACHAL TERMINAL (NEAR BAKU, AZERBAIJAN) THROUGH GEORGIA UP TO THE TURKISH BORDER. THE 690-KILOMETER PIPELINE INCLUDES A 442-KILOMETER SECTION IN AZERBAIJAN AND A 248-KILOMETER SECTION IN GEORGIA. THE EXPANSION OF THE SOUTH CAUCASUS PIPELINE INVOLVES THE LAYING OF NEW PIPELINE ACROSS AZERBAIJAN AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO NEW COMPRESSOR STATIONS IN GEORGIA. THIS TRIPLES THE GAS VOLUMES EXPORTED THROUGH THE PIPELINE TO OVER 20 BILLION CUBIC METERS PER YEAR.
