That It Was Great to See Someone of That Age Get Through Their Basic Training As an Auditor and Take People Into Session and Do a Good Job Of STATUTORY DECLARATION I, Rosalie delacy of Walshes Manor, Walshes Road, CROWBOROUGH, East Sussex, TN6 3RB, England, solemnly and sincerely DECLARE as follows: 1. My name is Rosalie delacy. I was born in New Zealand and came to England in 1956. I have been performing religious duties at the Church of Scientology at Saint Hill Manor, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 4Jy since 1966. 2. Prior to that I was on staff in the London Scientology Organisation. Here, I audited public and later was in charge of all the auditlng and later all the training. 3, I personally knew and worked beside the Founder of the Scientology Religion, L. Ron Hubbard. 4. At Saint Hill, at the beginning of the 1970s, I was in charge of Division 1 of the Church which covered such things as the communication in and out of the Organisation and the personnel and ethics records. After that I was in charge of the Technical Division. By this time I was well trained in the delivery of Scientology religious counseling and the running of the various sections of the organisation. 5. David Miscavige was here as a boy. I remember him as an auditor on the auditing Internship, auditing grown people. This is the activity of the Church of Scientology, 6. There were not many teenagers on the Internships and he was a young teenager, so easily remembered. The main attitude I had about David was that it was great to see someone of that age get through their basic training as an auditor and take people into session and do a good job of. auditing on them! I never heard any bad thing said about him as an auditor in any way. 7. As I was already well into my staff duties most of the time I didn't notice what he did outside of course time, However, as a senior in the technical area I would ceftainly have known if he was doing something strange or having bad social behaviour. This is because ethics is a factor in a Church of Scientology and these things would have been drawn to my attention. I heard of no such behaviour about David Miscavige. B. Since David Miscavige left Saint Hill and became a Sea Org member in America, I have seen less of him. But he comes to England every year now and I often bump into him and we catch up socially. On the last time he was at Saint Hill, he gave me a large bunch of flowers for my birthday with a card drawing my attention to the fact we had been friends for 40 years. Considering Mr. Miscavige's responsibilities, I felt it was an honour to be remembered on my birthday and to be regarded as a friend, 9. I take exception to what I know to be false and derogatory statements concerning the character of Mr. Miscavige and the work he does directing and leading the Scientology religion.     14 August 1997 Dear I have been asked to describe certain 'secular' benefits I have received from Scientology auditing and training that are not generally understood to be religious or spiritual in nature and how these have affected my community services activities. From my own schooldays I had a purpose to help other children gain a good education and to this end became a qualified teacher and pursued this profession until I married and had a family. I then came into contact with Scientology and through it gained greater self reliance and greater confidence in handling projects Also I was trained in the use of the study method developed by L Ron Hubbard and decided that I wanted to use it to help children to study better in school. With the help of a local West Indian businessman and other volunteers I started Riving supplementary teaching in the evening to disadvantaged children in Brixton , something which was especially wanted by West Indian parents in the drea. This project which we named B.E.S.T, ( the Basic Education and Supplementary Teaching .Association ) is now an authorised charity and continues to provide supplementary teaching and vacation projects in the Brixton area. More recently I have taken on another volunteer activity, that of bringing this study method to teachers in a country in Southern Africa. The education authorities in that country had become aware that the academic results being achieved in their schools were not sufficiently being translated into success in the professions and the workplace. L Ron Hubbard's Study Technology with its emphasis on fully understanding and being able to apply the data being studied was demonstrated in a pilot project and was shown to markedly increase student interest and comprehension and to greatly reduce truancy and its introduction was approved.

This is part of the religious literature and works of the Founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard. It is presented to the reader as part of the record of his personal research into Life, and should be construed only as a written report of such research and not as a statement of claims made by the Church or the author. Scientology and its sub-study, Dianetics, as practiced by the Church, address only the "Thetan" (Spirit). Although the Church, as are all churches, is free to engage in spiritual healing, it does not, as its primary goal is increased spiritual awareness for all. For this reason, the Church does not wish to accept individuals who desire treatment of physical illness or insanity but refers these to qualified specialists of other organizations who deal in these matters.
