Applications may be inspected free of charge at the Office of the Traffic Commissioner in Leeds by any person who carries written authorisation to act in that capacity. Objections against published applications may be made in writing by a Chief Officer of Police, a local authority, a planning authority or a prescribed trade union or association within 21 days of the date on which notice of an application is published in Applications and Decisions. Objections must be made either on the grounds that any of the requirements listed in Section 13 of the Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995 are not met and/or that a nominated operating centre will be unsuitable for use as such. A copy of the objection must be sent by the objector to the applicant at the same time that it is sent to the Traffic Commissioner. The onus of proof in terms of the grounds on which an objection is lodged lies with the objector. You may fax a copy of your objection to 0113 2488521 but please note that you must send the original signed document through the post. Classification of Operator Licences – There are three classes of licence: • A Restricted (R) licence authorises the use of a goods vehicle on public roads in Great Britain for the carriage of the licence holder’s own goods in the course of his trade or business. The licence holder cannot carry goods for other people for hire or reward; • A Standard National (SN) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward, on public roads in Great Britain. He can also carry his own goods on journeys abroad; • A Standard International (SI) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward. These activities can be undertaken both in Great Britain and on international journeys.     EASTON MAUDIT CONSERVATION AREA CHARACTER APPRAISAL AND MANAGEMENT PLAN 1 ORIGINS AND DEVELOPMENT 1.1 The village of Easton Maudit is located about seven miles south of Wellingborough and eleven miles from Northampton. Most of the southern half of the parish of 730 hectares is on Boulder Clay at 90m – 110m AOD, but streams in the north draining towards Grendon Brook have cut deep-sided valleys through limestone, silts and clays [RCHME, Vol II, 1979]. The parish is two miles north to south and one mile east to west with the village itself located to the north. It is bounded on the east by Bozeat, north by Grendon and west by Yardley Hastings, lying on the borders of Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire and west of the road between Wellingborough and Olney. With the exception of the (former) rectorial lands, it is owned by the Marquess of Northampton *(currently the seventh Marquess) [VCH IV 11, 1937 OUP]. 1.2 It appears that the place name is essentially topographically-derived relative to an “East Farm” perhaps associated with Denton and Whiston lying to the west. The second element is linked to John Maled *(Latin: Maledoctus = dunce) who held the manor in 1166 and whose family name was also being spelt Mauduit (1242) and Maudut (1268). The village name is therefore recorded as having evolved from Eston(e) (1086), Estun (12 th century), through Estone Maudeut (1298), Estone Juxta Boseyate (1305), Eston Mauduyt (1377), to Esson Mawdett in 1611 [Gover, et al]. 1.3 Records of manorial succession commence with William Peverel, the Conqueror’s natural son, and the Countess Judith, his niece, who “held in Estone 2 ½ virgates at the general survey [Whellan].

Introduction 1.1 The settlement hierarchy is a key part of the new local plan evidence base. The new local plan will be formed of two parts. Part 1 of the new local plan comprises the emerging Joint Core Strategy (JCS) that includes high level strategic policies. The Plan for the Borough of Wellingborough (PBW) will form Part 2 of the new local plan and will provide more locally specific policies. 1.2 The aim of this background paper is to assess whether there is any requirement for the PBW to consider the inclusion of specific detailed policy on settlement hierarchy, further to that provided in the policies of the emerging JCS. 1.3 A settlement hierarchy is a way of categorising the boroughs settlements to recognise their different roles. A hierarchy groups together the settlements that have similar characteristics. At the top of the hierarchy are the larger settlements that fulfil most functions, have the best infrastructure (facilities and services) and are most easy to get to by sustainable forms of travel. The smaller settlements, with least functions, infrastructure and transport links, are nearer the bottom of the hierarchy. Minutes of the meeting of Grendon Parish Council held on Monday 8th February 2021 at 7.30pm by video conference call. 236. Open forum One member of the public attended to observe the meeting. 237. County & Ward Councillor Reports -To receive reports, from county and ward councillors if able to attend. CCllr Martin Griffiths attended the meeting and reported that NCC had been mainly focussed on the COVID-19 situation and the move towards unitary. He was very pleased with Northamptonshire’s exceptional response to the pandemic and the vaccine roll-out with Northants sitting at 4th in the country for vaccine distribution in groups 1-4, there was still a long way to go but they were confident this would continue if the supply held-up. He also reported that the elections will go ahead on the 6th of May 2021, in a COVID-19-secure way. He thought turn-out could be low which would be a shame and no door-to-door canvassing was permitted.
