Whereas, Covid-I9, is declared -a..r,a-as a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation. The Government of also declared it as a disaster and announced several measures to mitigate the epidemic. Government of , has deployed several stringent measures to control the spread of the epidemic. Since strict surveillance is the only tool to prevent the occurrence of a community spread, the government has directed district administration to take all possible,measures to prevent the epidemic.

And whereas, SRO notification issued by Govt of Kerala as Kerala Epidemics Diseases, Covid 19, Regulations 2020 in offrcial gazette stipulates that all possible measures shall be incorporated to contain the disease.

And whereas' more than 6721live cases are treated in various hospitals in the district as on date, and epidemiological investigation is being carried out in each case and their primary and secondary contacts is being traced and for the effective containment of fuither transmission of disease.

And whereas, new cases have been detected without any known source or link with COVID 19 patients or with any travel history the district core group has recommended the following to be i'cluded as containment zones. ho Containment & Ward No, Name

Now therefore, I, Dr- Navjot Khosa IAS, District Collector & Chairperson of District Disaster Management Authority under the powers vested with me as the District Authority to invoke the provisions envisaged in the sec 26, 30 and 34 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and passes the order as follows.

1) The Containment Zone declared in the following wards are withdrawn based on the surveillance data evaluation.

2) The following wards in Thiruvananthapuram disuict are declared as containment zone where the existing lockdown relaxations as per order cited 3 above shall not be applied and strict lock down measures shall continue until further orders.

3) The wards adjoining these containment zone shall be treated as areas which needs special attention in a public health perspective.

4) Only essential activities will be allowed in containment zones and strict perimeter control will be enforced. The movement of persons in or out of the zones will not be permitted except for medical emergencies, maintaining supply of essential goods and services.

5) The Incident Commander and Tahsildar, of concemed Taluks shall ensure strict containment acrivities are being contemplated as per Government instructions.

6) Police shall ensure the guidelines issued by Government of India and Government of Kerala regarding the containment zones are complied with in letter and spirit. 7) Medical Officers of PHC Tholicode, FHC Kilimanooq PHC Kollayil, PHC Azhoo4 CHC

Andoorkonam, UPHC Vattiyurkavu, ACH Poojappura, PHC Thiruvallam shall ensure the following

i. Shall coordinate with Police, Revenue and LSG for planning containment activities, quarantining the contacts for 14 days and ensure proper IEC.

ii. Shall identify, isolate the positive patients and constantly monitor their health status over telephone.

iii. ' Shall conduct house to house ILI surveillance, listing of vulnerable, symptomatic persons, people with high social contacts and soeen them using the HR available with the PHC with the help of Block PHC.

iv. Shall update the details of positive and quarantined persons in Covidlg Jagrata portal and share

the same with DDMAwith a copy to DMO on a daily basis.

v. Shall ensure strict enforcement of SMS, Break the Chain, Quarantining of contacts, Isolation of positives with help of police, revenue and LSGs.

'8) Block Medical Officers of TH , CHC Kesavapuram, CHC Perumkadavila" CHC Anjuthengu, CHC Puthenthopu, Thluk In Cfilge Medical Office4 Thiruvananthapuram shall

conduct daily monitoring of containment activities and submit a weekly report to the DDMA with a copy to DMO.

9) District Medical Officer shall ensure that Health activities planned as per the ref cited 3 is been implemented by the respective Medical Ofhcrs and effective supervision is done by the respective Block MOs. DMO shall furnish a daily progress report to this office by 8.00 PM every day through

email ddmatvpm.rev@kerala. gov. in.

10) This order will be reviewed every day and relaxation will be allowed once in a week.
