These measures will effectively restrict the reproduction and growth of disease vectors. Gem quality chrysoberyl is reported from pegmatite veins and in the gravel and pebble beds around Elampazhannur located at about 9 km, NW. There are deposits of minor mineral like building stone at various places etc located within 15 km radius.

Tsunami: - Though Kerala Coastal areas were encountered with the Tsunami dt. 26-12-2014, there is no coastal areas falling within 15 km radius of the project site and hence there is no chance of Tsunami in the project area . 34

Cloud Burst: - No reported cloudburst in the area falling within 15 km radius of the project boundary .

Cyclone: - The area within 15 km radius from the project site fal ls within moderate damage risk zone-B (vb=39 m/s) as per the Wind and Cyclone hazard map published by BMTPC: Vulnerability Atlas, 2 nd Edition, 2006 . Drought : - Few areas within 15 km radius from the boundary of the project site experiences seasonal drought conditions during the summer months.

Heat wave / sunburn / sun stroke : - Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued heat wave warning in 2016 and in subsequent years. Several sunburn incidents were reported from the areas within 15 km radius.

Proposed Terms of Reference for EIA Studies – The proposed mine lease area is 4.7968 ha and there is no working quarry located within 500m radius from the mine lease boundary and hence the total mine lease area is 4.7968 ha which is less than 5 ha. Therefore as per the Office Memorandum vide No. L- 11011/175/2018-IA-II(M) dt. 12/12/2018 by Ministry of Environment Forests & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) for mine lease area of less than 5 hectares no EIA / EMP is required. Therefore no Terms of Reference is proposed.
