With the founding of the Society in 1976 the decision was made to publish in the Journal of the Society, Current Literature references on Palaearctic Lepidoptera. Initially it was hoped that one Lepidopterist from each country would be Willing to record the literature published in the Journals of his own country. It has not been easy, nor indeed possible to find volunteers for a complete coverage for 1977. However, recording did not commence until late 1977, and the response from those who have helped has been excellent. The list of recorders is growing, and hopefully we shall soon have a complete coverage. It must be emphasised that the final list of papers published de- pends entirely on recorders Willing to give a little of their time to searching Journals. (Lepidoptera: Coleophoridae) Ignác Richter Abstract. Present article brings information about new findings of case–bearing moths (Lepidoptera: Coleophoridae) from the Balkan Peninsula. Several species of the genus Coleophora were recorded for the first time for some of the Balkan countries. Coleophora herniariae, C. daglarica and C. albipennella are recorded as new for the fauna of Europe. The description Coleophora vardarella Richter, sp. nov., from Macedonia is given. Keywords. Lepidoptera, Coleophoridae, Coleophora vardarella sp. nov., Coleophora herniariae, Coleophora daglarica, Coleophora albipennella, Macedonia, the Balkan Peninsula. Author’s address. Ignác Richter | Malá Čausa 289, SK–971 01, Slovakia E-mail: [email protected] Introduction Intensive faunistic research of small moths (“Microlepidoptera”) of the Balkan Peninsula continues for several decades already and lasts until the recent times. The family Coleophoridae Bruand, 1850 belongs to the less known moths of the Balkans, therefore our focus has been oriented towards this large Lepidoptera family. Faunistic and systematic studies of this moth group in the Balkans resulted in interesting findings. One of the most important recent works about the genera Coleophora Hübner, 1822 and Goniodoma Zeller, 1849 of the Balkan Peninsula is the contribution of Richter & Pastorális (2015). Results of surveys conducted by seni- or author, executed in the years 2010–2014 at different sites of Croatia, Montene- gro, Macedonia, and Bulgaria were presented. -

Studies on Coleophoridae (Lepidoptera) II. a New Name for Coleophora Icterella Toll 1949
120 ENTOMOLOGISCHE BERICHTEN, DEEL 32, 1.VI.1972 19- Plutella xylostella L. The first on May 5, the last on October 13. As a rule in feeble numbers with sudden small tops suggesting immigrations. Total number only 954. On the whole a bad year for immigrants with the exception only of Scotia ipsi- lon, and with a striking absence of rarer species. A few observations of Vanessa cardui abroad may be added. From May 17—20 an enormous migration was observed near Vaison la Romaine (France, Vaucluse), flying against a strong wind and close to the ground. The migration was observed over a front of at least 30 km, but was probably broader (L. H. Claassens). During a stay of a fortnight at Lavagna, zb 40 km south of Genova, very fresh specimens suddenly appeared in considerable numbers on May 31, remained a few days, visiting the flowers of Red Valerian (Centranthus ruber) and then disappeared as suddenly as they had come (Lempke). On June 9 hundreds were seen near Blagoevgrad in the Struma valley in SW Bulgaria, probably immigrants arrived via Greece (D. Vestergaad). Amsterdam 1010, Oude IJsselstraat 12-III. Studies on Coleophoridae (Lepidoptera) II. A new name for Coleophora icterella Toll 1949 by R. C. H. M. OUDEJANS Recently Klimesch (1971) published a paper on the biology and genitalia of Coleophora icterella Toll. Unfortunately this name appears to be preoccupied. Duponchel (1840) described in his “Histoire naturelle des Lépidoptères ou Papil¬ lons de France” 11: 578, plate 310 fig. 12, Ornix icterella, possibly from the kid¬ ney vetch, Anthyllis vulneraria. -

Identification was performed by DNA barcoding unveiling host-plant relationships for 29 Lepidoptera species. The authors propose a larger-scale approach using this rapid and efficient method and encourage entomologists to join the team. Schmetterlinge (Lepidoptera) Des Natura 2000-Schutzgebietes Wörschacher Moos (Steiermark) – Eine Gefährdete Vielfalt
Joannea Zool. Wiederaufnahme extensiver Mahd emp ehlt. Abstract: -
