Freeman, Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Nova Scotia, came to the Chamber of the House of Assembly, and being seated, was pleased to open the Third Session of the Fifty-Eighth General Assembly with a speech as follows: Mr. Speaker, Members of the Legislative Assembly, Ladies and Gentlemen: At this time of great unease in the world, My Government asks that we stand for a moment of prayers and reflection. That we pray peace soon prevails. That we reflect on how fortunate we are to live in a peaceful province, in a peaceful country, where people of every nation, every colour, and every belief are welcomed into our homes and into our 2 THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 2003 communities. Thank you. Nova Scotians have reason to be proud. Proud of our history, our culture, our spectacular scenery. Most of all we have reason to be proud of ourselves.
