1. From the Grant County Visitor’s Center at 126 S. Main Street, Petersburg, head Swest Fk S Br Potomac on R Route28S/55W toward Cabins. Continue on 28S/55W. - 10.5 mi. 2. Turn right onto County Route 28/7 Jordan Run Road. In 0.9 miles the road will split. Dolly Sods Road will be to the left and Jordan Run Road to the right. Be advised that Dolly Sods Road is not suitable for motorcycle traffic. Continue to the right on Jordan Run Road. 3. Continue following Jordan Run Road until it intersects with Route 42. - 13 mi. 4. Turn right onto Route 42 and follow it toward Maysville. - 2.1 mi. 5. Turn left onto County Route 3 Knobley Road and continue heading northeast on Knobley Road. - 2.1 mi. 6. Turn right onto County Route 3/4 Morgantown West Road. Continue on Morgantown West Road until it intersects County Route 5 Patterson Creek Road. - 3.9 mi. 7. Cross over Patterson Creek Road. Once you have crossed the road, it becomes County Route 5/7 Morgantown East Road. Continue on Morgantown East Road. - 5.6 mi. 8. Morgantown East Road becomes County Route 10 Kessel Road. S Br Potomac R 1. Begin your journey at the visitor’s center found a 600 N. Main Street. From the visitor’s center, turn onto 33 West to head out of Franklin. Be sure to fuel up at the Shell or Exxon station before leaving. While on 33 west, make a lunch stop in Riverton, or enjoy a tour of Seneca Caverns and the Stratosphere Cave. 2. Follow 33 West to the intersection of 33 and 28/55 found at the stunning location of our very own . If you’d like to take in the local shopping, Yokum’s and Harper’s Old Country Store can be found here. – 25 mi. 3. Continue through the intersection onto 28/55 east towards Petersburg, WV. Petersburg is home to various gas stations, restaurants, and local store fronts. So take some time to enjoy our neighbor’s neck of the woods. – 24 mi. 4. After your stop in Petersburg, follow Main Street onto 220 South and make a left onto South Mill Creek Road/ County Route 9 – 1.5 mi. 5. Follow County Route 9 through Mozer and Kline onto Schmucker Road. While journeying through Mozer, stop and say hello to the folks at the historical location of Dove’s Store. – 20 mi. 6. At the end of Schmucker Road, make a left turn onto 220 South – 11 mi. 5. Proceed to follow 220 South back into Franklin, WV. When you return to Franklin, sit back and stay a while. You’ll be glad you did.
