Prof. Eda Ünlü Yücesoy February 2018, 136 Pages In this study, I elaborated formation and transformation of the Beyazıt Square witnessed in modernization process of Turkey. Throughout the research, I examine thematically the impacts of socio-political breaks the on shaping of Beyazıt Square since the 19th century. According to Lefebvre's theory of the spatial triad, which is conceptualized as perceived space, conceived space and lived space, I focus on how Beyazıt Square is imagined and reproduced and how it corresponds to unclear everyday life. I also discuss the creation of ideal public space and society as connected with the arrangement of Beyazit Square. In this thesis, I tried to discuss the Beyazıt Square which has a significant place in social history in the light of an image of “ideal public space or square". Nair, ProjectuP Abstract The climate has been undergoing a rapid change for the worse, for the past several decades. India, particularly in the last few years, has seen deadly examples of floods, heatwaves, extreme rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, forest fires, cyclones, etc., to name a few results of increasing global warming and the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which are giving rise to climate change. While some actions are being taken to tackle the problem, it has been noticed that the majority of the human population has been finding reasons to avoid engaging in any work or activity related to climate change. So why is this the case, and why this habit of procrastinating can have deadlier consequences for the human population? This paper aims to analyse how the habit of procrastination in human beings can be related to climate change. The fact that people have been putting off acting on climate change has often been cited as the main reason for the situation of the climate today. Therefore, this paper aims to analyse human thinking behind procrastination and describe how the relationship between youth, procrastination and climate change might not always be intentional. -

A REVIEW OF MEDIA COVERAGE OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND GLOBAL WARMING IN 2020 SPECIAL ISSUE 2020 MeCCO monitors 120 sources (across newspapers, radio and TV) in 54 countries in seven different regions around the world. MeCCO assembles the data by accessing archives through the Lexis Nexis, Proquest and Factiva databases via the University of Colorado libraries. Media and Climate Change Observatory, University of Colorado Boulder http://mecco.colorado.edu Media and Climate Change Observatory, University of Colorado Boulder 1 MeCCO SPECIAL ISSUE 2020 A Review of Media Coverage of Climate Change and Global Warming in 2020 At the global level, 2020 media attention dropped 23% from 2019. Nonetheless, this level of coverage was still up 34% compared to 2018, 41% higher than 2017, 38% higher than 2016 and still 24% up from 2015. In fact, 2020 ranks second in terms of the amount of coverage of climate change or global warming (behind 2019) since our monitoring began 17 years ago in 2004. THE ENTREPRENEURIAL SCHOOL (TES) AWARDS 2017 #TESawards2017 An initiative of JA Europe supported by Siemens The Entrepreneurial School Awards is an annual national and European recognition of the outstanding primary and second- ary schools championing entrepreneurship education. The schools are nominated by national JA organisations in cooperation with their national education authorities and/or Ministries of Education. The best school in each country is named as “The Entrepreneurial School of the Year” and is recognized on a European level. Criteria: • Entrepreneurship education activities include most of the teachers and the students • The school has a vision and a plan for entrepreneurship education • There are specific resources allocated to entrepreneurship education • The school has actively supported teachers’ continuing professional development and training within entrepreneurship education • How the school includes the local community and business sector in their activities This criteria follow the objectives of Europe 2020, the EU’s growth strategy which aims to enhance creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship, at all levels of education and training. More particularly, the Awards respond to the new priorities for European cooperation in education and training presented by Commissioners Thyssen and Navracsics on 1 September 2015. JA Europe launched The Entrepreneurial School Awards in 2015 as part of The Entrepreneurial School (TES) project - an EU project which over the last 4 years has also produced Europe’s first Virtual Guide to Entrepreneurial Learning targeting teachers.
