However, several people are killed as a result of the bombing incident, and Clark resolves to keep his powers hidden, performing lifesaving feats only in secret. I believed they were real people who cared about one another and their love was like what a lot of people experience - though there are a few unbelievably romantic moments like Clark and Lois smooching above the Statue of Liberty as the sun set. It sounds at first like a high concept story, where a weird coincidence sees a small town boy named Clark Kent actually realizing he does have super-powers, but in reading the whole story, it becomes clear that it's as much about the central notion of Superman and the common life cycle we'll all live through as it is about a neat gimmick Every time that Kurt Busiek and Stuart Immonen have worked together, they've done something I've really enjoyed, and Superman: Secret Identity is no exception.
