Sage Fruit renews JRM sponsorship in NASCAR series

Sage Fruit Co. renewed its associate sponsorship of JR Motorsports — the professional race team owned by Jr. — which fields multiple teams and tours nationally in the NASCAR Series (formally Nationwide Series). This will be the second year Sage Fruit has sponsored JRM.

As part of the agreement, the "Sage Fruit" logo will have placement on the No. 88 during 2015. The No. 88 will be driven by , , Earnhardt Jr. and Ben Rhodes throughout the 33-race schedule. In addition, the "Sage Fruit" logo will also have placement on the race suit of Kahne for each of his Xfinity races.

president of sales and marketing at Sage Fruit, said in a press release. “Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been voted the most popular driver in NASCAR for the last 12 years running, and to be a part of this organization has already helped us in many ways. We look forward to what the future holds with cross promotions and social media opportunities. It’s sure to be an interesting year as the gets started.”

While Rhodes is new to the Xfinity series — he'll make his debut in the No. 88 at Speedway May 17 — Kahne, Harvick and Earnhardt Jr. are all accomplished drivers in their own respect. Kahne is a 25-time winner in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series. He began competing for JR Motorsports on a part-time basis in 2013. Harvick is a two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series champion and ranks third on the series' all-time wins list with 44 victories. He was also the NASCAR Sprint Cup champion in 2014. Earnhardt Jr. will start his 16th race season as a 46-time winner in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series.
