Why we need your help 15

“Diversity, distinctiveness, authenticity, creativity, fun, an evening economy, a great outdoor recreation scene and a tolerance of differing life styles are key to attracting the creative class and ensuring a successful local economy.” (States of Jersey, Cultural Report)

Yet research suggests that currently the grants and funding levels of most of Jersey’s major cultural institutions have been set at or not much above the minimum amount necessary for their survival. It is therefore crucial that the Jersey Arts Centre has continuous support from businesses and sponsors to ensure the organisation can develop, grow, and even thrive, to ensure the Island’s cultural and arts criteria is met. “When you invest in the Island’sculture you are investing in yourself, your company and your staff. You are showing your commitment to the growth of Jersey both culturally and financially. You are showing your commitment to the people of Jersey.” (Jersey Arts Trust)

Without sponsorship many of the most important Arts events that have taken place at the Jersey Arts Centre would not have happened. 16 How to apply for our Business Partner Scheme
