8 1.6 Research grants at Tel Aviv University Highlights are the TAUVEX project, which was granted a cumulative amount of ∼1M$ to Tel Aviv University and more than 12M$ to the prime contractor, El-Op, from the Ministry of Science, through the Israel Space Agency. Another highlight is the Center of Excellence for Multi-Spectral As- tronomy, combining all the astrophysicists of Tel Aviv University, which was granted ∼1.3M$ by the Israel Science Foundation. Finally, a small group of Tel Aviv scientists formed a research group concentrating on small bodies; this was supported as the National Knowledge Center for Near-Earth Bodies (Israel Spaceguard) and resulted in the addition of a sec- ond telescope to the Wise Observatory. A summary table and a detailed list of grants follow.
