    Battle of Lake Erie Erie Yacht Club Venue Info Directions to Erie Yacht Club From Interstate 90 East and West Exit at the I-79 North exit, stay on I-79 until it becomes the Bayfront Highway. At the first light, Lincoln Ave., turn left, proceed to next light which will be West 8th and Lincoln Ave. Continue through light 2 blocks to West 6th St. Turn left on to West 6th St., go 2 blocks to Virginia Ave. Turn right onto Virginia Ave and proceed to the fork in the road. Stay to your right at the fork and proceed through the intersection with Plymouth Ave. Proceed about 150 yards until you see the Erie Yacht Club sign on your left. Follow the road to the bottom. From Interstate 79 South Proceed north on I-79 until it becomes the Bayfront Highway. From this point follow the directions above. Using GPS Enter 1 Ravine Drive, 16505 and watch for the Erie Yacht Club signs. Entering the club: At the base of Ravine Drive you’ll find the EYC Gate. If the gate is open and unguarded, just drive in. If the gate is open and guarded, tell the guard you’re here for the college regatta. If the gate is closed, there is an intercom. S.O.N.S. (Save Our Native Species) of Lake Erie Fishing Club presented an Environmental Awareness Award to Millcreek Mall Property Manager Tim Jares on June 13. Jares accepted the award during the mall’s inaugural Environmental Expo. The organization praised the staff and management of Millcreek Mall for their work in keeping litter out of Walnut Creek, which borders the mall property. Fencing and other physical barriers were installed to prevent refuse from reaching the stream. Additionally, the mall has worked with Millcreek Township officials to remediate erosion and sediment problems along the creek. The result has been a cleaner flow of water into Lake Erie, providing a healthier environment for fish species as well as the anglers, boaters and swimmers who enjoy the lake. The S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie Fishing Club is an organization of over 3,000 members. Established in 1981, it is dedicated to the improvement of fishing on Lake Erie and its Pennsylvania tributaries. The organization has supported regulations promoting the growth and health of the Lake Erie fishery. As a member of the Cooperative Nursery Branch of the (MORE) Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, the club established a fish hatchery that annually produces and stocks approximately 1 million Walleye and 2 million Yellow Perch into Presque Isle Bay.

Our committees have been hard at work to make it an amazing experience for each and every one of you. As Mary mentioned in her email earlier this week, the registration cost for conference is down to $250, a 35% reduction in price from prior years. We hope you will take advantage of these savings to put toward your trip to Erie. Our thanks to Erie Insurance for a generous donation that allowed us to meet our expenses while keeping the registration price low. The hotel price listed on page 3 of the registration form includes all taxes and fees, and we’re really excited to be able to offer you a beautiful location at a reasonable price. We have lots of education and networking planned, including two CE courses, a CLP renewal and a Selling Essentials course.
