Due to their popularity and high entry numbers, the Cup competitions are divid- ed into two groups. This year’s Super Senior events were held at five different clubs in the Philadelphia area, mostly on grass courts, imme- diately following the US Open in September 2004. Almost 750 players, from 33 different nations, participated, mak- ing it the largest competition ever held. Size alone created significant operational challenges for the World Championships Organizing Committee (WCOC).At the end of the two weeks of play, US seniors claimed five of the eleven Cup titles and nine out of twelve individual World singles championships.
