The survey results will be included in the future CORP and will be used as a decision-making tool to evaluate LWCF applications for future alternative camping projects.

The evaluation will include assessment of the CORP's effectiveness in shaping outdoor recreation provider decisions, tracking implementation of CORP Actions, and a compilation of best planning and implementation practices for developing the Strategic Plan. Phase III - Data Analysis and Reporting, deliverables due 7/2010 include the final printed report sheet, to be used as guides for state and local decision-making on outdoor recreation issues and programs.

II. Statewide Trails Research and Planning: Identify opportunities for local and regional recreation providers to link their existing or planned trail systems to the California Recreational Trail System (CRTS) using trail information gathered through research, documentation, publication and collaboration. The three project tasks are: 1) Document the status of three CRTS trails that can be shared with agency trail managers statewide (the Juan Bautista De Anza, California Coastal and the Pacific Crest Trails); 2) Analyze the CRTS status and assess opportunities and identify barriers to full CRTS development; and 3) Facilitate collaboration between agencies such as the NPS, CSP, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and other CRTS managing agencies.
