The survey results will be included in the future CORP and will be used as a decision-making tool to evaluate LWCF applications for future alternative camping projects.

CORP Program Evaluation and Strategic Plan 2007/08 $68,250 The scope is to evaluate the 2002 California Outdoor Recreation Planning Program and to develop a long-range Strategic Plan to direct future CORP Program development.

The work will be implemented in two concurrent phases:

Phase I - Evaluation of the California Outdoor Recreation planning Program, including the CORP. The evaluation will include assessment of the CORP's effectiveness in shaping outdoor recreation provider decisions, tracking implementation of CORP Actions, and a compilation of best planning and implementation practices for developing the Strategic Plan. The Evaluation Report is due 2/28/2010.

Phase II - A long-range Strategic Plan to direct future CORP Program development will be based on the data gathered during the Evaluation phase and include a CORP road map and procedure guide. The Strategic Plan deliverable is due 2/28/2010.
