The prestigious level 3 games were held once again at Shrewsbury Sports Village with hundreds of children taking part. Worfield Primary was successful in qualifying for the tennis, tri-golf and cricket events. All three teams played extremely well, collecting valuable points for the district. At lunch time East Shropshire were lying in third place, meaning the heat was on to bag some very crucial points in the afternoon’s activities. Worfield teams stepped up to the mark taking first place in both the tri-golf and the cricket. A fantastic achievement for Worfield!

BES Primary School Games Well done to Endowed School for hosting another massive primary school sports day, on Thursday. With the theme set for Rio Carnival and the weather on its best behaviour, a brilliant day of fun and games was had by all pupils who took part. The BBQ and ice-creams topped off the day.

Review of the Disabled Children’s Register in Shropshire Well done to Archie and The Children Act 1989 requires all local authorities to keep a voluntary register of Martha Bradburn, their disabled children and young people (up to the age of 25) in the area. The aim of the fund-raising for Russells register is to help local areas understand how many disabled children and young people (and those with special educational needs or some additional needs) live in Hall Hospital Maternity their area and to assist them in planning provision and support. Unit Bereavement Services raised £76 have asked an Independent person, Sue North, to review the current register and make some recommendations for the future.

Sue is working with PACC, Shropshire’s parent carer forum, to find out how the current register works, and how it is used to

support families. Also how this helps the local area to use the information to plan good support and services for children and young people and their families in the future.

We are keen to hear from parent carers your thoughts about the Disabled Children’s Register and what you would like for the future. You can do this by filling in this quick survey monkey questionnaire which should not take more than 10 minutes.

If you would rather complete this over the telephone, please call Sue North on 07891 942755 so we can arrange to do this . We would be grateful if you could complete this before the end of July.
