We were shown the different departments. One brave pupil, Charlie, asked Ms. Charmin about the meaning of the word 78 NAREI. She told us that the word NAREI is an acronym that means National Agricultural Research and Extension Institute. Ms. Charmin then went on to explain to us the products that are made there. After our tour around the compound, she gave us huge packages of some of the products. We were so excited that we jumped for joy. We took a photograph with her, thanked her and then bid her farewell.     SHORT CIRCUIT FAULT CALCULATIONS Short circuit fault calculations as required to be performed on all electrical service entrances by National Electrical Code 110-9, 110-10. These calculations are made to assure that the service equipment will clear a fault in case of short circuit. To perform the fault calculations the following information must be obtained: 1. Available Power Company Short circuit KVA at transformer primary : Contact Power Company, may also be given in terms of R + jX. 2. Length of service drop from transformer to building, Type and size of conductor, ie., 250 MCM, aluminum. 3. Impedance of transformer, KVA size. A. %R = Percent Resistance B. %X = Percent Reactance C. %Z = Percent Impedance D. KVA = Kilovoltamp size of transformer. ( Obtain for each transformer if in Bank of 2 or 3) 4. Increasing knowledge about mediators and triggered pathways has contributed to a better understanding of the interaction between the gut-brain axis and the brain-gut axis. Intestinal bacteria produce neuroactive compounds and can modulate neuronal function, which affects behavior after an ischemic stroke. In addition, intestinal microorganisms affect host metabolism and immune status, which in turn affects the neuronal network in the ischemic brain. Here we discuss the latest results of animal and human research on two-way communication along the gut-brain axis in an ischemic stroke. Moreover, several reports have revealed the impact of an ischemic stroke on gut dysfunction and intestinal dysbiosis, highlighting the delicate play between the brain, intestines and microbiome after this acute brain injury. Despite our growing knowledge of intestinal microflora in shaping brain health, host metabolism, the immune system and disease progression, its therapeutic options in an ischemic stroke have not yet been fully utilized.

    Children’s Rehabilitation Services CONTINUOUS STROKE PRINTING The more times a beginning writer has to lift a pencil, the harder it becomes to make a legible letter. Every pencil lift creates another opportunity to make a mistake. Fewer strokes means fewer steps to remember in forming each letter and decreases directionality confusion. It also increases the chances the student will develop the correct “motor memory” for the letter formation. The development of motor “memories” for the patterns used in printing is what helps the student’s printing to become fast and automatic, without sacrificing legibility. Continuous stroke printing may also help eliminate letter reversals. As the student is not lifting his/her pencil, there is less opportunity for confusion around which side of the “ball” to place the “stick” on (e.g., ‘b’ vs. ‘d’). Likewise, as the student does not have to pause and think about where to place each connecting stroke, the speed and flow of printing often improves. Which Letters Are Non-Lifting?     The Importance of the X/R Ratio in Low-Voltage Short Circuit Studies DATE: November 17, 1999 REVISION: 0 AUTHOR: John Merrell Introduction In some short circuit studies, the X/R ratio is ignored when comparing the short circuit rating of the equipment to the available fault current at the equipment. What is not always realized is that when low- voltage gear is tested, it is tested at a certain X/R ratio. The X/R ratio is important because it determines the peak asymmetrical fault current. The asymmetrical fault current can be much larger than the symmetrical fault current. The purpose of this article is to introduce such terms as the X/R ratio and asymmetrical fault current and to relate the importance of the X/R ratio to the rating of low-voltage equipment. Purpose of a Short Circuit Study The purpose of a short circuit study is to determine whether or not electrical equipment is rated properly for the maximum available fault current that the equipment may see. The study is performed using computer software first by modeling the system (conductors, transformers, generators, utility sources, etc.) and then by simulating faults. There are essentially four types of faults: three-phase, single line-to-ground, double line-to-ground, and line-to-line. Each of these types of faults can result in different magnitudes of fault current. In all types, however, there is a common element: an abnormally low-impedance path for current to flow. Such a condition can lead to extremely high currents. By Ohm’s Law, voltage equals current times impedance (resistance).
