Instrument No. 34 Australian Capital Territory Sports Bookmaking Events Determination 2003 (No. 1) Disallowable instrument DI2003—34 made under the Race and Sports Bookmaking Act 2001, subsection 20(1) Determination of sports bookmaking events. The Commission determines that determinations No. 261 of 2001 and DI2002–173 are revoked and that each of the sporting or other events listed on the attached schedule shall be a sports bookmaking event. John Broome Chairperson, ACT Gambling and Racing Commission 21 March 2003 SCHEDULE (1) Rugby League (i) Individual matches as per the official National Rugby League fixture schedule and all finals; (ii) International test matches; and (iii) English first division Rugby League matches. (2) Australian Rules Football (i) Individual matches as per the official Australian Football League fixture schedule and all finals; (ii) AFL organised "State of Origin" matches; and (iii) Major State championship matches. (3) Rugby Union (i) Individual matches as per the official Australian Rugby Union fixture schedule and all finals; (ii) Individual matches in the "Super 12" series and all finals; (iii) International test matches; (iv) World Cup matches and all finals; (v) First Division matches as per the official U.K. Rugby Football Union fixture schedule and all finals; (vi) Individual matches in the “Five nations” tournament; and (vii) Individual matches in the Hong Kong Sevens Tournament and all finals. (4) Cricket (i) Individual Test matches or any series of Test matches; (ii) International one-day matches or any series of such matches; (iii) Sheffield Shield matches or any other first class cricket matches played within Australia; (iv) Interstate one-day matches or series of matches; and (v) First class cricket matches played outside Australia. (5) Basketball (i) First division matches in the Australian National Basketball League; (ii) National and International matches sanctioned by Basketball Australia; (iii) Professional matches in the U.S. National Basketball Association; (iv) US collegiate matches conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA); and (v) European Championship games. (6) Soccer (i) First Division matches conducted in Australia, including premiership and pre-season competition matches; (ii) U.K. Football Association Cup matches and all finals; (iii) Matches conducted by the U.K. Football Association including Premier League and Divisions 1 to 4; (iv) Matches conducted by the Scottish Football Association including Premier League and Divisions 1 and 2; (v) European Club competition matches and all finals; (vi) European Cup competition matches and all finals; (vii) World Cup matches including all finals; (viii) Olympic Games Qualifying matches; and (ix) Any other FIFA sanctioned international fixture. (7) Tennis (i) The Australian, French, United States and Wimbledon Tournaments; (ii) Davis Cup, Hopman Cup and Federation Cup events and all finals; (iii) Any other professional event sanctioned by the Association of Touring Professionals; (iv) Any other professional event sanctioned by the Women’s Tennis Association; and (v) Any other professional event sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation. (8) Golf (i) The Australian, the United States and the British Open Tournaments; (ii) The Australian and the United States Masters Tournaments; (iii) The Australian and the United States PGA Tournaments; (iv) The Dunhill Cup; (v) The President’s Cup; (vi) The Ryder Cup; (vii) World Match Play championship; (viii) Any other event sanctioned by the United States PGA; (ix) Any other event sanctioned by the European PGA; (x) Any other event sanctioned by the Australian PGA (xi) Any other event sanctioned by the Japanese PGA; and (xii) Any other event sanctioned by the South African PGA. (9) Yacht Racing (i) The Sydney to Hobart Yacht race; (ii) The America's Cup; and (iii) The Admiral’s Cup. (10) Motor Racing (Car and Bike) (i) World Formula One Grand Prix events; (ii) Championship Auto Racing Teams (C.A.R.T.) Grand Prix events; (iii) Indy Racing League Grand Prix events; (iv) US NASCAR events; (v) Australian Touring Car championship events; (vi) World Rally Championship events; (vii) Australian Rally Championship events; (viii) World 500 cc Motor Cycle Grand Prix events; and (ix) World Super Bike Grand Prix events. (11) Baseball (i) First division matches in the Australian Baseball League; (ii) Major league matches in the US National Baseball League and the American Baseball League; (iii) Collegiate matches conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA); and (iv) World Series games. (12) Boxing (i) Bouts sanctioned by the World Boxing Council, the International Boxing Federation, World Boxing Association and the World Boxing Organisation. (13) American Football (i) Professional matches in the American National Football League; (ii) Collegiate matches conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA); (iii) Professional matches in the Canadian National Football League; and (iv) Professional matches in the Arena Football League. (14) Ice Hockey (i) First division matches in the American National Hockey League, (ii) First division matches in the Canadian National Hockey League; (iii) World Cup matches; (iv) First division matches in the Finnish Hockey League; and (v) First division matches in the Swedish Elitserien Hockey League. (15) Thoroughbred Racing (i) Australian Metropolitan, provincial and country thoroughbred race meetings; (ii) Hong Kong Vase; (iii) Hong Kong Bowl; (iv) Hong Kong International Cup; (v) Japan Cup; (vi) Dubai World Cup; and (vii) North American race meetings conducted by the Racing Commission of the relevant US or Canadian racing jurisdiction.
